As a Systems Administrator I you will have the opportunity to administer a wide variety of Internet technologies. This position will be responsible for ensuring the environment's reliability, availability, scalability, and performance using a variety of monitoring and command-line tools. In this role, you will be responsible for both customer-facing and internal assets. This position is expected to have a solid understanding of computer science and networking fundamentals and conscientious work habits.
Review and resolve escalated customer support tickets. Provide training, documentation, and guides to improve the ability to serve the customer.
Participate in large collaborative projects, including migration between and datacenters or major software upgrades or replacement and other projects as assigned
Take ownership of systems and network issues (as part of a team) and work with all relevant parties to determine a strategic approach to resolution. Participate in on-call rotation.
Take ownership of the hardware lifecycle. Including, at least, the provisioning, maintenance, hardware troubleshooting and eventual replacement of servers
Directly responsible for all in-office IT requirements: connectivity, desktops/laptops, servers (DNS, DHCP, File, and Phone servers), and phones.
Education and Experience: HS/GED and 2 years
Education: High School
