The Axcelis Information Technology department is looking for a Systems Administrator who is an adaptable, life-long learner, with both technical and people skills to join our team.

In this newly created position in our growing company, the right candidate for this role will be capable of leading Infrastructure Technology projects, assist in the ongoing maintenance of existing systems, and act as the liaison between Information technology and Operational Technology.

With the convergence of IT and OT, this role will also be critical in bridging the gap between both areas. This will include applying IT processes such as networking, cybersecurity, servers, change management, SLA and more to Manufacturing's existing processes and new technologies like robotics, barcode scanning, IoT devices, controllers, industrial controls systems, etc...

This position is being offered as Onsite with the ability to work remote 2-3 days a week (hybrid) in the future. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications below.

Responsibilities

  • Manage hybrid (on-prem/cloud) Microsoft environment

  • Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Azure Active Directory, Conditional Access, MFA

  • Manage endpoint deployment software

  • Manage NMS (Network Monitoring System)

  • Monitor endpoint protection platform

  • Manage virtualization platform

  • Manage Backup Solution

  • Manage SAN (Storage Area Network)

  • Manage Blade Server Technology

  • Manage SIEM

  • Assist with printers configuration and maintenance

  • Monitor cybersecurity platform

  • Provide second/third level support to our Solution Center Team (Help Desk)

  • Bridge the gap between Information Technology and Operational Technology.

  • Participate in collaborative initiatives with Manufacturing.

  • Implement new Manufacturing technologies.

  • Recommend systems enhancements and other operational opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.

  • Analyze data, communicate findings to management, and offer recommendations.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of business processes.

  • Ensure documentation and procedures are accurate and up to date.

  • Coordinate application roll out and support with the Manufacturing Application leads and IT team members (Systems, Network, DBA's, IT Help Desk).

Qualifications

  • Five(5) to Ten (10) years of experience in Information Technology, specifically with servers, virtualization, networking and cybersecurity.

  • Experience with next gen firewalls.

  • Experience in a Manufacturing environment would be a plus.

  • Motivated self-starter.

  • Ability to learn quickly and carry out assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision.

  • Project management experience.

  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.

  • Establish and continuously improve processes to adapt to a constantly evolving environment.

  • Proven time management and organization.

  • Ability to execute multiple assignments by required deadlines.

  • Experience with identifying and escalating issues.

  • Proven communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Possess a global perspective on the business and impacts to other business units.

  • Understand and mitigate risk.

  • Collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to identify, prioritize, and escalate issues appropriately.

  • Familiarity with general risks and controls as it relates to Change Management, Incident Management, Disaster Recovery, Information Integrity, Capacity Planning, Security Administration, and Vendor Management.
