Description:The Darkwing Program System Administrator (SA) is responsible for the day to day operations of systems and hardware. This includes the installation of new servers and the ability to rebuild existing servers.

They also will configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, system back-ups, anti-virus updates, etc. in accordance with program requirements. This also includes related infrastructure requirements as necessary. The SA must be able to review system logs to identify potential problem areas and get them resolved before bigger problems arise.

The SA provides all operating system and anti-virus updates. Participate in technical research and development to support new work coming in and for hardware end of life replacement.

The SA will assist the engineering team with technical issues in the initiation and planning phases as new projects as they come in. These activities may include technical strategy, research & development and designing to a project life-cycle.

The SA will also support an on-call duty rotation for after hours support as needed. Some nights and weekend work may be involved. The SA will get certified on systems for support of Operations and maintain all certifications as required.

Site Training Requirements: Certification will be required for performance as a System Operator. COMSEC certification will be required.

Unique Training Requirements: MS Office applications.

Ability to Obtain Clearance Required

Basic Qualifications:

Pursing an accredited college/university. Acceptable degree programs include only science and technology related disciplines such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Information Tec *us citizen

Desired Skills:

General network knowledge Virtual machine experience UNIX/LINUX experience Familiarization with ICD 503 Security Requirements. Windows 2012r2 Server, Windows 7/10 Operating Systems. Windows Active Directory and DNS Anti-Virus Updates Good troubleshooting skill sets Good problem resolution skills Can perform tasks with minimal supervision Support documentation updates 5yrs related experience

Participates in a production and validation process for information technology systems and products which requires formal documentation (standard operating procedures). Works with software tools to produce sophisticated products for customer use. Must certify and maintain proficiency as a System Operator. Participate in the generation, and review of procedures, test plans, integration documentation, problem reports and the assessment of their impact on missions. Interface with management for operational issues. Must possess outstanding interpersonal skills and be able to function in a multi-contractor environment. This is currently a Rotating Shift position with the potential for on-call/absence coverage. Skills: Common computer architectures and operating systems. Sound cause and effect troubleshooting techniques. Ability to work effectively with people as part of a multi-disciplinary, multi-contractor team. Ability to function effectively in a rapidly changing environment with minimal supervision is necessary. Site Training Requirements: Certification will be required for performance as a System Operator. COMSEC certification will be required. Unique Training Requirements: MS Office applications. Some travel required. Possess current TS/SCI clearance or be eligible for crossover in a timely manner. Applicants selected will be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Ability to obtain clearance required.
