The Northrop Grumman SIGINT Technology Center (STC) is looking for a highly motivated Systems Administrator to manage the program and development systems as well as support the engineering work being done every day on multiple programs. All of the programs at the STC are growing and requires everyone involved to continue to evolve as new programs and technologies are added. The Systems Administrator will handle all aspects of the development networks including the back-end servers and end-user workstations. They will also be expected to work with the Northrop Grumman IT Security team to ensure the development systems are patched, scanned, and accredited to remain on the network.

This is an ideal job for one who enjoys working on a wide variety of technical challenges. This opportunity offers flexible core hours and is located in Chantilly, VA

Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at a level 2 or level 3.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Level 2 requires a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience, Master's degree and 1 year of experience, or a total of 7 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Level 3 requires a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years experience, Masters Degree and 4 years of experience, or a total of 10 years of additional related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Configuration and administration of ClearCase servers running on Windows or Linux.

  • Windows Server administration

  • Scripting skills, including one or more of the following: Windows shell, Linux shell, Python, Perl

  • U.S. Citizen and Eligibility for Top Secret / SCI Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Linux administration, including NFS, NIS and integration with Active Directory

  • VMWare technologies, including ESXi, vCenter, vSphere, and Workstation

  • Bringing systems in compliance DoD Security Guidelines (STIGs)

  • DoD Host Base Security System (HBSS)

  • Security Accreditation (RMF)

  • Configuration of firewalls, VPNs and routers

  • WAN setup and maintenance

  • Windows Embedded Standard 7/10 Toolkit

  • STIG compliance remediation for domain, server, or workstation devices

  • Active Top Secret / SCI

This is a fast paced and dynamic program dedicated to providing the leading edge support for our restricted customer. Responsibilities may include: * Analyze system requirements * Consult customers, visit workplaces or conduct surveys to determine present and future user needs. * Facilitate coordination and information flow between programs and organizational managers * Gather data pertaining to customer needs, and use the information to evaluate system and network requirements. * Monitor system performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and recommend where changes may need to be made in the future. * Prepare milestone status reports, provide input to update the master schedule, and report deliveries on the system evaluation * Provide frequent contact with customers, traceability within program documents, and the overall computing environment and architecture. * Recommend hardware or software requirements to improve systems and network configurations. * Work with other engineers, systems analysts, programmers, technicians; Train users on system use "This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below."
