System Validation Engineer
The Xeon Server CPU validation team enables future generations of CPUs that power Cloud, Enterprise, HPC and Data Center!
Functional validation teams are organized around key technologies which include Virtualization, Memory (Intel Optane, DDR, HBM), IO (PCIE, CPU Interconnect), Power Management, RAS, Security, and Coherency.
We are looking for sharp collaborative engineers who pay extra attention to engineering details, are passionate about quality, and interested in bringing complex leading edge projects to market. You will create and execute validation plans, and debug critical failures allowing for high quality products delivered to customers like Google, Amazon, Facebook, and more.
Responsibilities include, although not limited to:
Validating CPU intellectual property in the post-silicon environments.
Create, define and develop system validation environment and test suites.
Use and apply emulation and platform-level tools and techniques to ensure performance to spec.
Development of methodologies, execution of validation plans, and debug of failures.
Broad understanding of multiple system areas and requires interfaces with Architecture, Design, and Pre-silicon Validation teams in improving post-silicon test content and providing feedback for future on-die debug features.
In addition to the qualifications listed below, this ideal candidate will also demonstrate success in communicating plans, status, issues, concerns and be comfortable working in a team setting and interfacing with architecture, design, and other validation teams.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Candidate must have a Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
Bachelor's candidate must have 7+ years of experience and Master's candidates must have 5+ years of experience in the following:
CPU micro-architecture and/or high speed bus protocol.
Debug skills and a proven ability to drive resolution of critical issues
1+ years of experience in the following domains:
CPU core, Virtualization, Memory, PCIE, UPI, Power Management, RAS, Security, and/or Coherency
Intel architecture and/or Intel chipset experience
Logic or Protocol Analyzer equipment
Python Scripting Experience
