DEPARTMENTAL SUMMARY: Talent Development and Training Department focuses on continually improving the performance of individuals and groups within St.

Charles.

This encompasses not only formal training in a classroom setting, but informal learning that occurs through mentoring, communities of practice, access to knowledge bases and the use of performance support tools. Talent Development and Training Department is under the Human Resources umbrella, and including system training, leadership development, performance coaching, succession planning and onboarding.

POSITION OVERVIEW: System Training Specialist will create an exciting, modern and comprehensive system training program(s) for all caregivers and providers at St.

Charles, including onboarding, closing performance gaps, system enhancements and upgrades. This role will be pivotal in enhancing and improving the learning experience for all our caregivers and providers. System Training Specialist will work collaboratively with an innovative team of training analysts to driving training strategy, meet learning objectives, and setting the stage for optimal system performance. They will also be responsible for front line customer service, interacting with caregivers and providers in a professional manner while providing high level customer service while rounding with teams and super users.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

Responsible for coordination, presentation and evaluation of EHR training and other technical training including onboarding new hires, classroom and on-site training courses, workshops and webinars.

Collaborates with Training Analyst to develop technical training curriculum and learning materials including, but not limited to, presentations, hand-outs, training aids, paper and web-based systems documentation. Enhances material to employ adult learning techniques to ensure maximum knowledge retention.

Maintains training matrix and monitor training completion status for all caregivers and providers. Maintains accurate documentation in the Learning Management System.

Coordinates with training leadership, education coordinators and operational leaders to establish schedules, track progress against the schedule, and modify the schedule when necessary depending the ability and success of the users.

Observes system use and offers appropriate one-on-one and group support for effective use of the EHR and other systems across all service lines through regularly scheduled and as needed on-site clinic visits.

Rounds regularly with assigned business partner areas to provide needed support, minor enhancement opportunities, and to manage business relationships.

Proctors oral, written and practical exams.

Designs, develops, implements, post-training evaluation materials and methods. Analyzes data and implements continuous improvement and provides feedback and optimization solutions to training team.

Troubleshoots assigned front-line support calls from end-users, seeks resolution, and escalates the issue to the system analyst if needed. May include rotational on-call support.

Provides and maintains a safe environment for caregivers, patients and guests.

Conducts all activities with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality. Complies with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures, supporting the organization's corporate integrity efforts by acting in an ethical and appropriate manner, reporting known or suspected violation of applicable rules, and cooperating fully with all organizational investigations and proceedings.

May perform additional duties of similar complexity within the organization, as required or assigned.

EDUCATION

Required: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Clinical, Informatics, Computer Science, Information systems, Business Computer Systems, or other related field. Equivalent work experience may be substituted for Bachelor's degree.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION

Required: Must pass Epic credentialing panel and gain credentialed certification within 3 months of hire

Valid Oregon driver's license and the ability to travel to all St Charles Health System worksites required

Preferred: Epic application certification in current version used by organization (such examples may include: ASAP, ClinDoc, Ambulatory, Willow, Cupid, Beaker, Orders, Beacon, OpTime).

EXPERIENCE

Required: At least 1 year and clinical or financial workflows.

Preferred: Experience in instructional design, Epic implementation(s); in Epic applications (ASAP, ClinDoc, Ambulatory, Willow, Cupid, Beaker, Orders, Beacon, OpTime).

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to perform the job safely.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES * General Customer Service Initiatives to include supervising Associates in the selling effort, ensuring the store s in-stock position, and maintaining an appealing and organized store appearance. * ASM's in Training will learn the following tactics to support this key accountability: staffing and scheduling, identifying and resolving stock deficiencies, supervisor associates in selling behaviors, resolving customer issues and concerns, and supporting service needs for both installed sales/special orders and product sales. * Supervising Store Associates to include interviewing, hiring, motivating, coaching, training, developing, and communicating to associates. They will also learn how to maintain and operate all store equipment and systems as well as how to manage daily financial operations. ASM s in Training should develop a command of store standard operating procedures (SOP s), especially those involving Safety compliance. * Business Analysis and Merchandise Planning Initiatives to include driving department profitability through analysis of sales trends. ASM s in Training will learn how to work with key partners (Store Managers, Field Merchandising, MET Teams) to plan merchandise placement and signing. They will also learn how to support stock integrity through inventory management processes. NATURE AND SCOPE ASM's in Training will report to a Store Manager. Once complete with their training process, they will gradually assume accountability supervision of work activities of associates.
