What You'll Do:

• Support project test strategy as well as design and create test cases for project enhancements and production fixes. Set up and define test scripts and conditions for testing, map test cases to the conditions and identify testing entrance and exit criteria.

• Design and create test cases, identify and obtain test data and perform test execution for assigned testing initiatives.

• Participate in formal reviews of business requirements and application designs. Perform risk analysis and ensure proper test coverage exists based on requirements and design specifications.

• Identify, analyze, log and retest defects found during test execution.

• Coordinate System Testing efforts with project team. Assist end-users as needed to perform UAT. Monitor the testing process through all project phases.

• Document end to end test coverage and traceability to requirements to ensure applications are being tested to the appropriate coverage according to the test plan.

• Ensure execution of system and acceptance testing and update test cases for future projects.

• Identify test cases for regression and automation suites. May execute and maintain automated test scripts.

• Maintain the project implementation schedule by working with project teams to see that test plans are defined and executed as required by the project schedule. Serve as contact for the technical units seeking clarification of test results and expectations during system testing.

• May act as initial contact point for production issues and help with issue definition and resolution.

• Respond to and resolve customer service requests according to FBL Financial Group, Inc., policies in a prompt, efficient and courteous manner for external customers, departmental staff and other FBL personnel at all times.

What It Takes to Join Our Team:

• College degree plus 3 years' industry experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Strong written and oral communication skills required.

• Requires full project life cycle experience and experience with software quality assurance methods on projects.

• Must have an in-depth knowledge of business processes and processing systems.

• Proficient understanding of software testing practices required. Basic understanding of test automation techniques and systems preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills required.

• Agile/Waterfall project related understanding required.

• May require work outside of normal hours and days or working on a rotational on-call basis after normal working hours.

• Testing certification or work towards certification preferred.

• Reasonably regular and predictable attendance.

• Ability to read, write and speak the English language.Some travel may be required.
