Job Description

Responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and determines and implements solutions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Respond to queries either in person or over the phone.
  • Documents ticket resolutions and workflow.
  • Train computer users.
  • Maintain daily performance of computer systems.
  • Respond to email messages for customers seeking help.
  • Ask questions to determine nature of problem.
  • Walk customer through problem-solving process.
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
  • Clean up computers.
  • Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.
  • Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
  • Install computer peripherals for users.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure issue has been resolved.
  • Gain feedback from customers about computer usage.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2+ Years experience working in the technology support field
  • Knowledgeable of Windows 7 and Microsoft products
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize issues
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Prior networking or server management experience
  • Has worked in a remote support environment before

KPMG is currently seeking a Temporary Associate, System & Infra Admin to join our Digital Nexus technology organization for a twelve month assignment. (Third Shift-11pm-7am) Responsibilities: * Participate in the installation and testing of new enterprise system software and hardware releases * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new hardware and software developments and participate in the evaluation of alternative approaches and new software or modifications, to enhance operations and development activities * Provide support with maintenance of installation and configuration procedures and document new processes and procedures * Interface with business clients and technology staff to implement solutions that meet business needs and address impact of new or revised applications on existing infrastructure * Provide administration and configuration of server infrastructure hosting Enterprise Applications * Support in the resolution of complex enterprise system hardware and software problems; Collaborate with peer teams and vendors to coordinate solutions Qualifications: * Minimum one year of systems administrator experience, preferably in large Enterprise Level Data Centers * Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience * Experience with Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS), ESX/VSphere platform administration, and Windows Server operating systems * Technical knowledge across various Storage disciplines (EMC, 3PAR, PureStorage) to resolve complex infrastructure integration issues and interface with multiple vendors to coordinate resolution to both hardware and software problems * Flexibility to work overtime and on weekends to support a 24x7 environment and at peak times, with ability to be on-call during weekends and after hours; Knowledge of ITIL Incident Management processes * US Citizenship is required KPMG LLP (the U.S. member firm of KPMG International) offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
