The Opportunity
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for an System Safety Engineer to join our team. This position is 100% onsite and no remote or hybrid is available at this time.
The System Safety Engineer will perform:
System Safety Analysis and Planning
Safety Assessment Reporting
Fault Tree Generation
Functional Hazard Assessments
Failure Modes Effects Analysis
Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis
Maintainability Program Plans and Procedures
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Engineering
5+ years of experience in safety principles
Experience in conducting system safety analysis including fault tree creation, system hazard analysis, FMEA and FMECA generation, reliability disciplines and failure investigations
Knowledge and practice using MIL-STD-882, DI-SAFT-80102, and/or SAE ARP4761
Familiarity with MIL-STD-1629, DI-SESS-81495, SAE ARP5580 (SAE ARP4754) and/or ASTM F3230
Construction of fault analysis per SAE ARP926 or similar
Possess a working knowledge of gas turbine engines with an intermediate to advanced knowledge of turbomachinery failure modes
Comprehension of electro-mechanical components and Electrical and Mechanical Engineering principles
Ability to assess system designs for maintainability and develop work instructions
Knowledge of gas turbine engine hardware and associated manufacturing techniques
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient using of Microsoft Office tools
U. S. citizenship is required
Position may require the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U. S. Salary Range: $120,000 - $170,000
