Support Aegis Combat System Integration Testing for DDG-51 Class ships in Pascagoula, MS as a member of the Aegis Test Team. Overall responsibility for ensuring the AN/SPQ-9B Radar System is operational and available.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Configuring AN/SPQ-9B equipment suite, computer programs, setup configurations, equipment interfaces and data extraction requirements

  • Review existing AN/SPQ-9B test procedures, recommend changes, and document test procedure discrepancies for future revision

  • Ensuring AN/SPQ-9B equipment is operational and configured properly for each test event

  • Assist in analyzing element test results and report findings as necessary to support those functional tests involving the AN/SPQ-9B

  • Assist in compiling AN/SPQ-9B status reports, as required, to the AWS Lead Engineer/ Test Coordinators

  • Troubleshooting AN/SPQ-9B System equipment, configuration and computer program problems document discrepancies

  • Ensure AN/SPQ-9B radiation safety processes are up-to-date and followed within acceptable OSHA operating limits

  • Support crew familiarization with AN/SPQ-9B equipment, maintenance and operations

Basic Qualifications

  • Experienced with operation and maintenance of Rotating and/or Phased Array Radar hardware/software.

  • Experience solving complex computer/network system problems

  • Must be physically able to support embarkation on U.S. Navy ship underway

  • Candidate should possess strong analytical and problem solving skills with good written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-corporate team with minimal supervision in an interrupt-driven, multi-tasking environment

  • Intermediate level of competence with Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel, Power Point and Project)

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship

  • Candidate will be subject to drug screening as per company policy

  • Ability to travel up to 25 percent of the time
