Position Description

Are you a system administration troubleshooting Pro?

Schumacher Automotive Group in West Palm Beach is seeking an entry level System Engineer!

The system engineer is an in-house, full-time position in the Information Technology department of an iconic fast- paced automotive company in South Florida. The entry level System Engineer will be responsible for the resolution of remote and onsite support requests, serving as an escalation point to complex help desk issues and provide great customer service to all teams. This role will be moving equipment throughout multiple locations within the company to execute service support tickets.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Provide support for all types of end user devices.

• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools.

• Escalate and schedule service tickets that require higher level or vendor support

• Identify and troubleshoot issues with hardware, software, and networking equipment.

• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to integrate new systems and software into the company's infrastructure.

• Provide technical support to employees and customers for a timely resolution

• Maintain accurate records of all IT assets and equipment.

• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and maintain system reliability and security. Adhere to SafeGuard Rules.

• Conduct regular end user trainings for SafeGuard compliance.

• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, and technologies - participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support as needed.

Who are we looking for?

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related field

• 2.5+ years in a system and network administration experience

• Comp TIA A+ Certification required

• Strong technical diagnostic skills

• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

• Knowledge of applicable data privacy policies and laws.

• Must have reliable transportation within the West Palm Beach area

A valid driver's license. All applicants must pass pre-employment testing to qualify for employment. Pre-Employment testing includes a successful background check and drug testing.

Requirements

• 2.5+ years network experience.

• Skilled in information security, integration, data architecture and programming.

• Proven experience with general software management best practices.
