Job Overview:

We are on the lookout for a dedicated System Engineer - Monitoring Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining, operating, and advancing our corporate infrastructure. Your expertise will help keep our services at the forefront of the industry, ensuring top-notch performance and reliability.

Initial On-Site Requirement:

The position requires a full-time on-site presence for the initial 3 months to facilitate comprehensive training and integration into our systems. Following this period, you will have the flexibility to work remotely for 2 days each week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Management: Oversee and monitor the existing systems and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
  • Documentation: Maintain precise system documentation, including system reviews and recommendations for enhancements.
  • Proactive Solutions: Identify potential system issues, propose solutions, and implement improvements to prevent disruptions.
  • Security: Secure systems by developing, enforcing policies, and monitoring access to safeguard information.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Tackle various tasks and projects as needed to support the company's objectives.
  • Best Practices: Aid in defining and executing project best practices and quality processes to maintain high standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

  • Solid background in information security/technology.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Azure, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with REST APIs and their integration.
  • Skilled in incident management, service request management, and root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Datadog or equivalent.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and monitoring/management tools.
  • Cloud-based solutions expertise in compute, storage, and network (preferably Azure).
  • Agile methodology experience.
  • Scripting abilities (Ansible, Bash, Python, Powershell).
  • ITIL certification.
  • Practical experience in an RHEL environment.
