Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced, self-starting Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Fort Worth, Texas.

Where Technology and Teamwork come together... The qualified applicant will be part of Northrop Grumman's F-35 Sustainment team.

In this exciting position, your roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Develop new and/or integrates existing system simulation frameworks, performance models and algorithms, threat models and command and control models.

  • Simulate real-time operations and develops software that simulates behavior of systems.

  • Develop, integrate and employ advanced graphical user interfaces and visualization tools.

  • Model operational environments, performs trade studies via computer simulation and recommend alternative architectures.

  • Perform operational analysis and mission effectiveness analysis.

You will provide technical support to the customer, Lockheed Martin (LM) F-35 Sustainment organization. This will entail data collection, data analysis, some data modeling and simulation, working with large data sets and databases, and

generating summary statistics. You will often need to support preparation of reports and presentations of technical data and related information. You will also often participate and support LM customers in meetings with F-35 Joint Program

Office.Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) field and at least 5 years of experience or Masters of Science degree in a STEM field with at least 3 years of experience

  • Demonstrated Modeling and Analysis experience

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), databases, and simulation and modeling tools.

  • US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated modeling and analysis experience working the F-35 program

  • Strong communication skills required to support customer and partner interactions

  • Team player with strong analytical skills

VIEW JOBS 12/3/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-03T00:00 Description:The Labs & Technical Services (L&TS) Conceptual Sims Software team is looking for a software engineer to support the design, development, integration, test and deployment of the software products developed for the Rapid Prototyping Development Simulation (RPDS) project. The technical emphasis of this position focuses on delivering Man-in-the-Loop simulation systems which include low-to-medium fidelity models and Pilot Vehicle Interface (PVI) capabilities to support the F-35, ADP and IFG Lines of Business. Successful candidate will provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate complexity with a broad range of responsibilities to include simulation software requirements, design, development, integration, and verification. This position offers the opportunity to travel within the United States and internationally. There are times where you may need to work a flexible schedule to support lab development and integration activities to meet program needs. Labs & Technical Services (L&TS) is a highly innovative organization, responsible for developing and maintaining manned aircraft weapon simulation systems utilized for weapons systems development from concept design through production and delivery. Within L&TS resides an extensive selection of simulators and software/systems integration test capabilities, including low-cost rapid prototyping concept development systems, full-dome handling qualities simulations, high-fidelity multi-ship, real-time, man-in-the-loop simulation systems, and hardware-in-the-loop mission systems and vehicle systems integration venues. Our products are used to advance weapon systems development, strengthen pilot familiarization, assess human factors, evaluate aircraft control laws, improve mission study effectiveness, provide test capabilities required for contract verification and provide integration testing and verification capabilities for aircraft systems and software. This position may require unique program security clearances that will be initiated upon selection and acceptance in filling this position. Final approval of these security clearances is dependent upon the Department of Defense (DoD) and could take an extensive amount of time to be granted. During this waiting period, the work assignments directly related to this position will be limited. Therefore, auxiliary organization work assignments will be provided. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and will require a Secret security clearance. Basic Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in C++ programming and Object-Oriented Design techniques. Bachelor's degree or above in a STEM discipline. Desired Skills: Domain knowledge and/or experience in one or more of the following: * Pilot Vehicle Interface (PVI) * Sensors (CNI, INS, GPS, Radar, EOTS, DAS) * Aeronautics * Weapons F-35 domain knowledge and/or experience in developing simulation software for one or more of the above are highly desired.
