company that provides high-end network and security consulting to Department of Defense andIntelligence Community clients. We are looking for a talented and passionate Level 3 System Engineer who would support one of our clients located in the AnnapolisJunction, MD area.
CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AN ACTIVE TS/SCI WITH POLYGRAPH TOBE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION.
Job Description:Ensure the Splunk infrastructure functions properly with PKI-based authentication, corporate authorization services, firewalls, and SSL/TLS communications.
● Contribute to development and ongoing improvement of industry best practices and standards for maintaining data analytics enterprise technologies.
● Assist with installing, testing, and deploying hotfixes/patches for Splunk app/product releases to manage enterprise vulnerabilities.
● Assist with development of knowledge articles, documentation, and work instructions used by the Splunk, server, desktop and Information System Security teams, and Tier 2/3 Help Desk technicians.Mon-Fri Dayshift, Available for after hours on-call
Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Twenty (20) years of experience as an SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.Required Skills:Experience managing user authentication within Splunk including RBAC/ABACExperience reviewing network, host, and firewall security logsStrong organizational, communication, and collaboration skillsDesired Skills:Experience with Splunk Machine Learning Toolkit (MLTK)Experience with scripting languages such as CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and PythonKnowledge of RMF, Trellix ePO, NESSUS, SCAP, and vulnerability scanningServiceNow Ticketing SystemShell scripting to automate tasks and manipulate dataIAT Level 2. CompTIA Security+ CE
