company that provides high-end network and security consulting to Department of Defense andIntelligence Community clients. We are looking for a talented and passionate Level 3 System Engineer who would support one of our clients located in the AnnapolisJunction, MD area.
CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AN ACTIVE TS/SCI WITH POLYGRAPH TOBE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION.
Job Description:Team Leadership and Management:
Lead and mentor a team of system engineers and operations staff.
Oversee day-to-day operations, including task assignment, managing backlog of efforts and prioritizing implementation, performance management, and professional development.
● Infrastructure Management:
Design, implement, and maintain Exchange, Active Directory, Web Services, and SharePoint environments.
Ensure high availability, security, and performance of these critical systems.
Implement and manage monitoring and alerting solutions for proactive issue resolution.
● Operational Support:
Provide operational support for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments.
Manage desktop patching schedule and imaging processes to ensure efficient deployment and maintenance.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to VDI, desktop environments, and system integrations.
● Project Management:
Lead infrastructure projects from planning through execution and deployment.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved within scope and budget.
● Documentation and Compliance:
Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, operational procedures, and policies.
Ensure compliance with organizational standards, security policies, and regulatory requirementsThis position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where innovation and continuous improvement are encouraged.Mon-Fri Dayshift, Available for after hours on-call
Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Twenty (20) years of experience as an SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.Required Skills:Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsExperience with Active DirectoryImaging ServicesMicrosoft Exchange AdministratorServer PatchingSharePoint AdministrationStrong technical background with expertise in enterprise IT servicesVirtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)Web services technologyDesired Skills:Certification TrainingDemonstrated experience in team leadership, strategic planning, and project managementStrong organizational, communication, and collaboration skillsIAT Level 2.
