Pay Range:$75.26 - $105.59

Key Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the Job

  • Provides overall leadership and organizational/administrative guidance for Facilities and Construction operations for the Consortium.

  • Oversees and manages facilities and construction projects

  • Oversees the preparation and final approval of project plans.

  • Conducts or acquires cost analysis for development projects; prepares or delegates preparation of schedule and completion dates.

  • Ensures that projects are completed within budget and in an economical manner.

  • Manages cost-effective contract negotiations and ensures appropriate service levels of third-party vendors, resolving any disputes over labor, scheduling, or payments.

  • Creates and maintains a safe and secure worksite.

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of the Facilities and Construction annual operating, maintenance and improvement, and capital budgets.

  • Establishes, communicates, and implements Facilities and Construction policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent operations.

  • Provides expertise and guidance to SEARHC executives and leadership team on projects, operations, and systems, in support of achieving organizational goals.

  • Provides direction to the Facilities and Construction leaders in the performance of their duties, establishing work priorities, and in achieving leadership initiatives.

  • Attends senior leadership, management, and other meetings as required.

  • Leads/participates on committees, task forces, and quality improvement teams as requested.

  • Identifies, recommends, and implements new technologies and systems to improve organizational processes and decision-making.

Other Functions

  • Communicates and performs all responsibilities in a manner that supports, promotes, and integrates the SEARHC mission, vision, and values.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains management staff in the department.

  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.

  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.

  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

  • Fosters and maintains a positive working environment for all department employees.

Additional Details:

Education, Certifications, and Licenses Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar field required

  • Master's Degree preferred

  • License or certification in one or more of the areas directly supervised

  • Documented training in applicable IBC and NFPA codes

  • Must have a current, valid driver's license and remain insurable under the SEARHC automobile insurance policy.

Experience Required

  • 12-15 years of facilities/construction industry experience

  • 8-10 years of Project Management involvement

  • 5-7 years at VP or Director level

  • Demonstrated track record of success

  • Successfully managing all facets of preconstruction, construction, and business development

  • Managing budgets effectively across multiple departments

  • Setting up metrics and business processes

  • Leading a range of administrative areas of responsibility

  • Providing customer service, service recovery, and quality improvement theory.

Knowledge of

  • Advanced knowledge of Facilities and Construction principles and procedures.

  • Advance knowledge in implementation and documentation of accreditation standards and Federal, State, and local codes and regulations.

  • Advanced knowledge of capital equipment and project planning, funding, prioritization, and management.

Skills in

  • Adaptable and flexible leadership style with a commitment to achieving excellent results by overcoming obstacles and creatively solving problems.

  • Highly organized and self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Outstanding analytical, strategic planning, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.

  • Build and maintain a high-performance culture through effective performance management, communication, and mentoring/coaching of staff.

  • Operate with a sense of urgency with rapid response capabilities on constricted timelines.

  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects and adjust to evolving priorities.
