The GME System Director plays an essential role in GME Program Office oversight. As determined by Tower Health GME leadership, duties include 1.) oversight of all GME Program Office roles 2.) ensuring appropriate faculty oversight for all Tower Health residency and fellowship programs and 3.) monitoring program funding and necessary contract negotiations.
The GME System Director will monitor compliance with centralized policies and procedures for the enterprise's Graduate Medical Education (GME) programs, in accordance with American Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements for each specialty. They will collaborate with facility GME personnel to bring processes and workflows into compliance with industry standards across all facilities. This will include devising uniform methods of creating and configuring rotation schedules, duty hours, evaluations and evaluations sessions, milestone evaluations, etc. in the New Innovations platform. The GME System Director will then act as the point person for New Innovations, providing guidance to all GME staff on utilizing the system, and monitoring for correct use and implementation. The objective of the role is to provide services to GME "customers" - the GME personnel and Program Coordinators. They will also be responsible for working with System Financial leadership to maximizing revenue from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS).
Master's degree in Public Administration or related field
Certification as a Training Administrator for Graduate Medical Education (C-TAGME)
design, operations, evaluation, and analysis, one (1) year of which must have been in supervision or
planning and/or analysis
Seven (7) years of Graduate Medical Education with GME & CME experience
Seven (7) years of experience with the New Innovations Inc. Residency Management Software
Extremely proficient in the use and administration of the New Innovations Residency Management Software
Excellent abilities in MS Excel, experience with database software such as MS Access a plus
Able to work both independently
