We are looking for: A mission-driven professional with an Active Top-Secret clearance to join our team as a senior level System Development Engineer in Stafford, VA.

As a System Development Engineer, you will:

  • Join an already established team with opportunity to grow.

A week in the life of a System Development Engineer:

  • Serves as principal scientist and senior functional expert in software engineering, with a primary focus on telecommunication intercept and collection capabilities. Proficient in the following programming languages: C/C++, Java, JavaScript, JAVA Native Interface (JNI), JAVA, Database Connectivity (JDBC), Oracle Pro *C, Structured Query Language (SQL), Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), and Visual Basic.

  • Provides independent support in a variety of areas to include Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), Digital Signal Processors (DSP), Windows devices Drivers, Embedded SQL, Video Transcoding, Bandwidth Aggregation, and OCR data processing.

  • Provides leadership and research in advanced software engineering concepts.

  • Provides solutions to highly complex problems of a specialized product or design development, with a wide range of projects or programs.

  • Responsible for requirements analysis, subsystem allocation, performance analysis, and system engineering leadership.

  • Creates, develops, and designs complex and difficult mechanisms, system equipment requiring a broad knowledge of several fields.

  • Leads and directs design teams to determine the qualification and appropriate application of new technologies.

  • Prepares reports relating to assignments, as required. Maintains technical competence and state-of-the-art expertise in areas of technical specialization.

Job Requirements

  • Proficient in the following programming languages: C/C++, Java, JavaScript, JAVA Native Interface (JNI), JAVA, Database Connectivity (JDBC), Oracle Pro *C, Structured Query Language (SQL), Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), and Visual Basic.

  • Bachelor's Degree (BS) with 8+ years of relevant experience required or Associates Degree (AS) with 12 years relevant experience.

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance.

A week in the life of a Senior Electronics Technician: * Lay out, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, engineer and modifies video surveillance concealment systems and equipment. * Provide support with systems such as computer equipment, test equipment, and electronic control systems, applying principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, electronic, and electrical testing, and physics. * Discuss layout and assembly procedures and problems with Electronics Engineers (EEs) and provides documentation to clarify design details and functional criteria of electronic units. * Assemble complete prototype models according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronic systems and components. * Recommend changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance. * Setup standard test apparatus or devises test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life cycle tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production models. Analyzes and interprets test data. * Adjust, calibrate, align and modify circuitry and components, and records effects on unit performance. * Writes technical reports and develops charts, graphs, and schematics to describe and illustrate systems' operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations for consideration by engineers in broader determinations affecting system design and laboratory procedures.
