As a System Design Specialist, you will be responsible for establishing that quality relationship from the moment you walk through a homeowners door.

As a successful System Design Specialist, you are an active listener and effective communicator. You understand the financial and emotional value attached to a home and have a sales approach that is as compassionate as it is effective. You have the ability to spot immediate and potential risk and a desire to find a solution for the issue.

In this position you will:

  • Meet with homeowners regarding their concerns.

  • Conduct inspections of foundations, crawlspaces, basements, and concrete slabs.

  • Bid repairs and close sales.

  • Run scheduled appointments Monday-Friday, 8 leads per week, we provide the leads.

  • Autonomous & flexible work schedule required office meeting only once per week.

Specialist V Service and Design Project Manager (R18-741) In this role, you'll provide non-supervisory mentorship for Service and Design group. In addition, you'll provide transmission and distribution design expertise for staff that results in cost effective, reliable and workable designs that meets customer needs consistent with tariff, company requirements and applicable codes. You will support our journey by: Acting as mentor and technical expert for Service and Design team, including: * Providing non-supervisory support for the day to day operation of the Service & Design group. * Assigning, reviewing and approving of Work Requests within approval authority. * Acting as the group technical resource and provide design guidance for projects. * Providing guidance to the team in handling and resolving customer concerns/complaints and other issues, including OPUC inquiries and complaints. * Providing coaching and training support to the S&D group in the office as well as in the field; acting as a mentor in the development and advancement of the team. * Enforcing consistency within the team, as well as ensuring consistency across regional S&D groups. For these reasons, meet on a regular basis with peer Leads/representatives to calibrate processes, procedures, and resolve inconsistencies in all regions. * Identifying and providing feedback to the supervisor for suggested changes for improvement. * Modeling and promoting department values, principles and culture, setting a positive example. * Taking proactive initiative to create process improvement ideas for the betterment of the department and our stakeholders. * Building strong relationships with key internal stakeholders * Maintaining a high level of customer care when working with customers and SDPMs. * Designing key projects, if needed, and maintaining a high standard for design productivity and project management. During storm events, this role will be called upon to provide outage support as deemed appropriate by PGE. You will bring the following skills to our team: * Comprehensive ability to use project management concepts * Comprehensive ability to apply engineering and design concepts, PGE and industry standards, and governing codes. * Comprehensive understanding of common engineering concepts and principles. * Comprehensive knowledge of PGE's electrical system. * Comprehensive knowledge of transmission and distribution standards and practices. * Comprehensive knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and National Electrical Code (NEC). * Comprehensive ability to effectively plan, organizes, design, coordinate and manage multiple projects with changing timelines at different stages of the connection process. * Proficient communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external entities. * Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a teamwork environment with internal customers * Good human relations skills and effective oral and written communication skills. * Excellent oral and written skills. * Excellent interpersonal skills. * Demonstrated leadership skills. * Self-motivated. (Identify, assess, research, recommend solution(s), and follow through) * Required to make independent decisions impacting cost, reliability, and safety. * Assist in the restoration of transmission and distribution systems due to adverse and storm weather situations. * Must be physically able to work in adverse weather conditions for extended periods of time, including but not limited to snow, ice and extreme wind. * May be required to walk on uneven and unimproved surfaces and perform physical tasks while working in the field. * Must possess a valid Oregon driver's license and a history of safe driving practices.
