SUMMARY

The System Auditor is responsible for multiple sites within the Mainline Health System for the oversight of the accurate collection and reconciliation of revenue. The System Auditor is responsible for meeting with Account Managers from the system and perform audits, reconciling all revenue collection, compiling over / short, and or variance reports for the deposits completed and provided by the Account Managers. The System Auditor has open communication with Account Managers regarding the site's revenue performance and work with Account Managers on programs to improve the overall revenue reporting performance. In addition, the System Auditor is responsible for other tasks related to training new lead cashiers, revenue control such as discount / comp tracking, property access systems, spot audits, training, and cashier support.

Examines departments' cash handling and tracking activities for compliance with Towne Park plans and policies. Analyzes data obtained to identify deficiencies in controls and looks for efficiency opportunities. Reviews all adjustments with appropriate facility representative

Demonstrates the ability to improve the financial reporting performance of the account

Understands the contractual agreement and recognizes ways to maximize opportunities within the auditing processes

Effectively utilizes standardized business systems as developed by Towne Park and ensures compliance with policies and procedures

Updates auditing SOP as necessary. Helps with transition of new management (AM, AsM, etc.) to ensure they understand the Auditing SOP. Responsibility for training and certifying new cashiers to ensure qualifications in position. Communicates staff's performance issues and/or irregularities to Director of Operations and other management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Required Licensure, Certification, etc.:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and be able to pass a criminal background and drug screen

Work Experience:

  • One to three months related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Customer service experience preferred

  • POS/Computer experience preferred.

Knowledge:

  • General knowledge of basic accounting/billing procedures/cashiering practices

  • General knowledge of collections processes, auditing and analyzing data

Skills:

  • Must be able to speak, read and write standard English language

  • Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos

  • Must be able to write simple correspondence

  • Must be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees of the organization.

  • Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance

  • Must be able to put numbers in numerical sequence

  • Must be able to understand 24 hour and military time systems

  • Clearly understand rates applicable to time passed

SCOPE

Authority to Act:

Job is fairly routine. Incumbent follows established practices and procedures. Duties are performed with specific directions given and work is checked or verified on a frequent basis. Decisions are made within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Errors in judgment could affect the smooth and efficient operation of the department.

Budget Responsibility:

The employee has control over resources available only.

Working Environment

The majority of work will be performed in climate-controlled environment, but may be exposed to inclement weather and varying degrees of temperatures on occasion.

Travel

Travel within the system of up to 50% to 75% may be required.
