Targeted System Architecture Engineer should have in-depth knowledge of embedded systems like SDV E/E and/or Electrification applications, to support our current and next generation of power management solutions. This will include knowledge of isolated and non-isolated DC-DC SMPS architectures, automotive battery-connected devices, EMI, DPI, power efficiency analysis and modeling, packaging, thermal analysis and PCB layout.
Candidate will participate in technical reviews with lead customers from the automotive industry on those domains to understand system use case requirements and challenges, and will work closely with Definition, Design and Product Marketing teams to develop value-differentiated and system-optimized products in the application environment.
Candidate will be responsible for following activities:
Provide technical expertise to support customer R&D activities
Willingness to engage with customers, both during the initial requirements gathering phase through to customer training.
Benchmark of the different architectures, topologies, technology trend analysis, and collaboration with lead customers
Verification of the implemented system and driving the creation of application guidelines
Definition of the best optimized power management architecture and solution
Collaborate with others Business Lines for System Solution definition and optimization
Provide training on vehicle architecture and application knowledge + interactions and collaboration with our internal technical (applications, R&D) teams + Sales and FAE
Build application notes / white papers related to application domain and the use of our products and solutions.
Support IC design and work closely with Definition, Functional Safety teams to ensure target specification and key functions are met.
Support architecture roadmap definition and product value creation
Profile
PhD/ Master Degree or equivalent in Electronic or Electrical Engineering with relevant experience in the following areas :
Strong Knowledge on Vehicle electrification Architecture (MHEV, BEV)
Strong knowledge in Analog, Power Electronics, PMIC's and SMPS, including Isolated DC-DC power converters utilizing Resonant, DAB and Phase-Shifted Full-Bridge Controllers.
Good understanding of control theory & stability, battery connected products, and EMC.
Experience in systems developed according to Functional Safety standard ISO26262.
Hands-on experience in circuit modeling and system behavioral modeling.
Circuit Simulator Experience in one or more of the following - Cadence Spectre, PSPICE, HSPICE, Saber, Simplis, Verilog-AMS, MATLAB, synopsis VDK, etc.
Creative mindset, strong analytical, debugging and problem solving skills
Excellent technical communication through presentations and documentation
Demonstrated ability to communicate concisely and clearly in English, with global team work experience
Understanding of the relevant Automotive Electrical standards and technologies
Team spirit and ready to travel world wide
Customer facing and Quality Management
Desired Skills (Plus Skills):
Knowledge of application processors and system design
Knowledge of ISO26262 process and Functional Safety applications
Knowledge of EMC testing and reduction techniques
Knowledge of circuit behavioral model, Simulator Experience, PCB design
Knowledge on vehicle architecture and related power management challenges.
