The Senior System Architect will drive the system information requirements using analysis of the information engineer(s) in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems. This role will be supporting a Federal customer.Duties and responsibilities:

• Design architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.
• Ensures these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for open systems architectures, the OSI and ISO reference models, and standards profiles such as IEEE OSE reference model. Additionally, the SA ensure that the common operating environment is compliant with the Government enterprise architecture and applicable reference models; and valuate workflows, organization, and planning and develop appropriate corrective action
• Reviews existing programs and assist in making refinements, reducing operating time, improving current techniques, and troubleshooting as needed
• Analyzes candidates for the next generation of system

• At least eight (8) years of relevant experience in a large Enterprise IT and/or Federal Agency environment
• At least five (5) years of relevant experience in the management methodology
• At least five (5) years designing and architecting solutions in a IaaS/PaaS/SaaS
• At least five (5) years developing responsive web applications in modern hosting environments that support modern browsers
• Ensuring W3C standards
• All aspects of configuration management planning including configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, configuration audits, configuration
• Knowledge of ITIL
• Microsoft IIS Administration
• Apache Tomcat Administration
• Requirements Gathering and Development
• Analyzing COTS products to meet requirements
• Troubleshooting (logs/testing/etc.)
• Certified System Architect (CSA) preferred
• Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or equivalent certification preferred (if Agile is used)
