Key Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Workday Support Specialist will work with executive sponsors and current staff to optimize functionality. In this "hands-on" Data Analyst role the incumbent will implement, support and maintain core configurations used across the application. This involves reviewing existing configurations and rolling out new functionality, while at the same time transferring knowledge to Five Star's current staff supporting Workday.

Work with E-Commerce Manager on Catalog updates, creating test scripts and testing assistance, monitor user support queue using ticketing system. Provide ongoing support to end users with trouble shooting user experience through by working them to resolution.

Workday Data Analyst will provide ongoing support to the overall Purchasing group as it relates to Workday Procurement including creating and delivering reports to Buyers as need to effectively manage vendors, user compliance, and overall company spend.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Address known issues, make configuration changes based on pre-established priorities. Work with subject matter experts to troubleshoot defects, bugs, and other configuration issues via research, testing, and scenario re-creation.

  • Monitor recurring (daily, weekly or monthly) interfaces/processes, internal and external, to ensure successful execution and troubleshoot any failed processes.

  • Participate in the semi-annual Workday release; preview new features, participate in regression testing, and make required changes. Recommend ways to optimize existing functionality or implement new features.

  • Develop reports, file feeds and interfaces in Workday and provide data analysis support to Financial teams.

  • Drive the design, development, testing and deployment of new integrations and maintain existing integrations using Workday integration tools: Studio, Core Connectors, Document transformation, etc.

  • Working with key stakeholders, review existing business processes (e.g., CXML Invoicing), recommend and support configuration changes for optimizing these and new business processes. Document all changes and new processes in a replicable manner, creating a knowledge base.

  • Monitor Workday Support Queue and driving resolution for end user trouble tickets using Service Now system.

  • Add and update e-commerce catalogs as needed to ensure pricing and product is accurate and meets contracted agreements with suppliers.

  • Respond to email and phone inquiries on process, errors, and issues.

  • Work with cross functional groups to identify and correct gaps in e-commerce processes and procedures..

  • Oversee operational report writing and ad-hoc analysis report generation

  • Ensure all deadlines are met, and that policies and procedures are followed

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years of practical Workday experience

  • Extremely detail orientated

  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to multitask and coordinate time sensitive duties.

  • Proven ability to collaborate broadly with flexible, positive attitude and ability to get results.

  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

  • Freedom from use and effects of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

  • 1-2 years of practical Workday experience

  • Workday custom reporting and dashboards: 1 year (Minimum)

  • Driven self-starter is a must

  • Accessible willing to take projects home and go the extra mile

  • Problem Solver able to quickly diagnose roadblocks and establish solutions

  • Personable -- able to work with other members of our team, most of whom do not have IT/website experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

College degree or background in computer science or e-commerce websites

  • Completed Workday education or certification a Plus

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral English communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary setting with residents, families, staff members, representatives of the community and visitors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure of weights, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. The Financial Operations Manager should possess basic statistics skills and have a thorough understanding of company P&L statements.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to solve problems related to the position and leadership situations. Ability to analyze data, reports, business documentation and problems and develop workable solutions and goals. Be able to interpret and implement written or oral programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Department.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Demonstrates active listening techniques, gains support through effective relationships, treats others with dignity and respect and seeks feedback.

  • Must be able to develop and maintain a good working relationship and collaborative approach with Regional Directors of Operations, Executive Directors, and corporate office employees.

  • Must be able to develop a good working relationship, be able to communicate with, and be able to take constructive feedback from the Senior Leadership team.

  • Possesses leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel while encouraging growth and skill development.

  • Works with regional and corporate staff as necessary and implements recommended changes as required.
