We seek an organized and enthusiastic professional to provide technical support to Simpson College's computer systems, administrative processes, and software. This person serves on the team that assures the college data governance policies are followed. Reporting to the CITO, the Systems Analyst is a member of a nine member IT team.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
Support administrative application software users by providing daily support.
Manage, implement, or guide end users to implement appropriate software solutions to assist in completing their responsibilities to the institution.
Supervises and provides direction and development advice to Application Systems Analyst
Participates in data governance activities, ensures compliance of data governance policy and appropriate data stewardship is applied.
Provide on-going assessments of computing needs in administrative offices by analyzing office procedures and functions.
Provide a global perspective to offices, faculty, and other staff groups as they make decisions regarding administrative applications and hardware.
Requires a bachelor's degree or 5 years related experience.
Requires a minimum of 5 years experience in the design or implementation of major software systems.
Requires extensive knowledge of relational database system design, and enterprise-level experience with multiple project management.
Requires project management skills.
Experience in higher education and/or Ellucian Colleague software suite is preferred.
Experience with, or knowledge of, accessible web and mobile development and technology security issues is preferred.
Experience with SharePoint portal management, MS SQL queries, report writing and/or comparable software is preferred.
Ability to work with previously unknown systems or processes and learn systems with documentation and/or minimal support from others is required.
Interpersonal skills requiring above ordinary courtesy and tact are necessary to communicate effectively with users and vendors both in person and on the telephone.
Analytical skills necessary to understand and develop solutions to problems and organize workload according to established priorities.
