Hands on experience Scheduling experience in IBM IWS (OPC/TWS) on Mainframe z/OS platform, CA Jobtrac Scheduling products and IBM Omegamon Monitoring product

Familiar with Mainframe Console monitoring responding to WTORs

Perform scheduled and unscheduled system shutdown and startup (IPL) utilizing the Hardware Management Console (HMC); perform environmental verifications after IPL is complete

Respond to all console messages and alerts requiring intervention and action

Perform and verify system configuration changes as specified during weekend maintenance

Flexibility to work in 24x7 shifts and weekends

Monitor all batch flow processing and insure timely completion of endpoints using TWS, Jobtrac

Identify delays or bottlenecks using proprietary and vendor tools and resolve or escalate

Perform level 1 and level 2 supports and resolution for all batch abends

Track incoming and outgoing transmissions ensuring they meet deadlines, escalating to appropriate vendors and Datacenter management when necessary

Monitor real time monitoring and L1 event management utilizing automation products, 3rd party monitoring software and in-house proprietary tools

Document system monitoring gaps and interface with engineers to remediate gaps and improve monitoring messaging
