System Administrator Support

Overview: 

Smarthost Design Technologies is seeking a qualified System Administrator to provide essential support services as part of a focused team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the performance of our systems in accordance with the specific requirements outlined in our Performance Work Statement (PWS). 

Key Responsibilities 

• Implement and maintain system administration protocols as detailed in Performance Work Statement Sections 5.1.2.1, and 5.1.2.4 through 5.1.2.15. 

• Ensure systems are optimized for performance and configured to specifications. 

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure secure and efficient operations. 

• Perform regular system backups, recovery, and execute security and feature updates. 

• Collaborate with IT teams and other departments to streamline service delivery. 

• Document system performance issues and maintenance procedures. 

• Provide technical support and guidance on system administration to staff. 

Requirements: 

• Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role. 

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 

• Strong understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc. 

• Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management. 

• Knowledge of system security techniques and IT best practices. 

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

• Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment. 

• Certification in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco, or similar technologies is preferred. 

Terms of Contract: 

• This is a full-time position for a term of 10 months under a Firm Fixed Price contract. 

• Work must be performed on location as specified in the job requisition. 

• FOB (Freight On Board): Destination.
