Job Description:

Oregon State Treasury is recruiting for the position of System Administrator.

Job Duties Summary

Server and Infrastructure Design, Maintenance and Troubleshooting

  • Manage Citrix Infrastructure including all maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

  • Manage VMWare Infrastructure and cloud Virtual infrastructure.

  • Manage Cloud Infrastructure including Azure, Azure AD, and Microsoft 365 components.

  • Manage remote access and remote devices including maintenance and configuration of SCCM, Intune, and Direct Access.

  • Manage Active Directory environment including Active Directory, DHCP & DNS.

  • Manage Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) and all Single Sign-on Integrations and Yubikey implementation.

  • Work with management to define strategic direction for IT as it relates to the OST system infrastructure for Treasury's critical applications.

  • Coordinate with Security Team and Application Team to provide server resources that are reliable, recoverable and secure.

Project Management and Execution

  • Assume project manager or team member responsibilities for projects, as assigned.

  • Coordinate, plan, develop, test, maintain, and implement technologies in support of agency business goals.

  • Evaluate, monitor, recommend, and implement new technologies.

  • Interpret and apply management and operational policies, relevant legislation, and industry standard practices.

  • Prepare progress reports and other written communication for agency staff and management.

  • Consult with users to provide alternate workflow and integrate new and existing technology in the process.

Work Schedule

This position will have the opportunity for a hybrid (remote and in-office) work location schedule; in-office work will be predominately from Treasury's Salem and Tigard office.

The schedule will be approximately 90+% time spent remote with a minimum of eight times per year in-office presence, spread over each quarter of the year with additional days in the office as needed. There may be the need for occasional (roughly once per year) travel to eastern Washington state for worksite business needs.

Salary Range

$85,788 - $129,912 annually.

Job Classification

This position is classified as an Information System Specialist 8. This position is a SEIU represented position.

Required Minimum Qualifications

  • Seven (7) years of information systems experience in system administration; OR

  • An associate's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field; AND 5 years of information systems experience in system administration; OR

  • A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field AND three (3) years of information systems experience in system administration; OR

  • Master's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field AND one (1) year of information systems experience in system administration.
