Systems Administrator- Full-time

In this role you will be part of a team monitoring critical business systems, responding and resolving help desk requests and providing technical support for hardware and software issues. You will also have the opportunity to investigate new technology applications in the manufacturing environment that will enhance the current infrastructure. You will be part of a rotating support schedule that does include evenings and weekends. The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting IT environments at a midsized companies ( 300 users) with multiple remote locations.
Develop, modify and support reports written in both Crystal Reports and Synergy SmartViews
Install and test computer-related equipment including networking, cabling, servers, desktops, laptops, mobile phones
Upgrade systems, applications, and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
Manage VMware environment including installation and maintenance of Virtual Machines
Windows Server deployment, configuration, updates
SQL Server Administration, performance monitoring, backups, maintenance
Create and verify backups of data
Jack of all trades in IT: Server management, Desktop management, Network planning, and user support
Associate or Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or another technical field, or equivalent relevant experience
Strong Troubleshooting / Help Desk Experience
Windows domain administration experience
Network administration experience, both wired and wireless, Cisco preferred.
Reporting Development and Support (Crystal Reports, SQL Server Reporting Services)
Extensive experience with VMware, Windows Server, SQL Server, Help Desk, Backups, Networking
Citrix XenApp, Microsoft RemoteApp (RDS/RDWEB)
SharePoint knowledge a plus
Independent problem-solving skills, and an ongoing attitude of continuous improvement towards IT processes. Must be able to prioritize work based on company needs.
Experience in a manufacturing setting and strong understanding of ERP systems preferred
Ability to work flexible hours and respond to help desk requests after hours
Off-hours and weekend helpdesk coverage is required on a rotating schedule with others in the IT Department
Relevant certifications a plus
