System Administrator, Senior

RMC is hiring for a System Administrator who will provide System Administrator support to an RDT&E environment.  The selected applicant will manage the functionality and efficiency of a group of windows workstations and servers and perform hardware and software installations.  The selected applicant will: 

• Support virtual and physical workstation and server configurations
• Perform general IT requirements, installation, configuration, maintenance, and security in a classified or unclassified network environment
• Provide Windows 10 workstation and Server 2019 administration
• Provide administration support to enterprise application servers such as SQL Server
• Support the virtualization of Windows and Linux systems
• Support the Administration of VMWare ESXi environment
• Provide ACAS/Nessus vulnerability and scanning support
• Support the maintenance and administration of Microsoft Active Directory
• Monitoring performance including monitoring disk space, utilization, capacity and availability
• Support ISSOs in implementing and supporting cyber security standards to include NIST and Risk Management Framework (RMF) C&A Standards and project reporting requirements
• Create and maintain Active Directory user accounts, and install hardware/software
• Perform system backup and recovery
• Perform PKI maintenance for DoD systems
• Administration of infrastructure including but not limited to: servers, zero clients, malware protection software, HBSS, syslog servers, databases, etc.

Requirements

• A Master’s Degree and ten (10) years of experience in related infrastructure, operating systems, system administration work is required. Four (4) years of additional related work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.
• The selected applicant must have DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level II Certification (Security + CE) and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in RDT&E environments.
• 10 years Windows Server systems administration experience in a DoD Environment
• VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) certification, preferable Desktop and Mobility
• Linux systems administrator experience
• Experience in Engineering, Systems Analysis, Information Assurance, Web Development, or Engineering Management to include: Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems / Equipment Support, and Test and Evaluation.

Clearance Requirement:

• An active DoD Top Secret clearance is required to start.  Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
