LCAT: System Administrator - Journeyman

Overview:
In this position you will install, maintain, and upgrade Operation Systems and applications for Windows environments and manages file systems and configurations. You will provide recommendations regarding system performance and capacity planning to include enhancing current methods and technologies with new technologies. You will develop and implement policies and procedures regarding core infrastructure, including backup and restore procedures, load and performance monitoring, access permissions, hardware provisioning, hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance.

Specific Duties:

  • Apply software releases and conduct monthly system maintenance

  • Perform troubleshooting and problem resolution, assist in disposition of assets, perform all hardware, software, and firmware upgrades

  • Work with outside contractors, vendors, and support desks as needed for hardware and software support.

  • Accomplish security Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) patch actions as directed by the designated government security office.

  • Investigate, document, and report/escalate security violations, attempts to gain unauthorized access, virus infections that may affect the network or other events affecting security.

  • Analyze engineered designs supporting new hardware, storage, firewalls, routers, networks, and operating systems.

  • Possess the knowledge and experience to perform the duties listed above

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, review complex directives and guidance and provide recommendations on system compliance with directives.

  • Strong written and verbal skills

Qualifications:

Active/current Top Secret+

Must have a current Security+ (or higher) certification

Knowledge of Unix and Linux

Bachelor's degree in relative IT discipline highly desired

The Clinical System Analyst will work closely with clinicians and departmental leadership to define requirements, prioritize requests, and develop solutions that may include EMR and Practice Management (PM) configuration/optimization, workflow redesign, and identification of technology gaps/needs. Key Responsibilities: * Identify opportunities to improve patient care, the provider experience, and clinic operating efficiencies in compliance with all applicable regulations and organizational policies * Assist in clinical and business process transformation related to of the design and configuration of the electronic health record (EHR) and practice management (PM) systems, as well as other clinical information systems * Conduct at the elbow EHR optimization and personalization activities with clinical users to improve end user efficiency and productivity within the EHR * Identify and develop solutions for improving revenue cycle management within PM and EHR applications * Training of IT team members and clinic Super Users in the support of clinical systems * Responsible for the delivery of application upgrades and patches; including review of vendor release notes, testing of updates, coordination of update/upgrade activities, and conducting upgrade support * Provide maintenance, optimization and serve as a point of escalation in support of clinical systems and initiatives as assigned including upgrades and enhancements to EMR and PM systems. * Become the clinical systems expert for responsible systems; including implementation, configuration, integration, testing, rollout, and ongoing production support * Serves as an escalation point for daily application/technical issues within responsible systems * Facilitate EHR Clinical Committee team meetings and related activities work with physicians, nurses, pharmacists and other health care professionals to evaluate current EMR functionality and assist Information technology staff with enhancements, additions and modifications to the systems Skill, Knowledge, and Experience: * 5+ years of experience in supporting implementation, optimization and administration of clinical systems. Experience with EHRs highly preferred. * 2+ years of clinical/medical experience, ideally in Primary Care * Bachelors or Associates degree in the Sciences, Health Systems, Health Curriculum, Health/Nursing Informatics, Information Technology or equivalent work experience * Demonstrated successful experience tracking projects implementing both systems and integrating into clinical workflows * Knowledge of healthcare industry and market place trends, specifically related to Value Based Care and Care Coordination * Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with a team * Ability to energize, develop, and build rapport at all levels within an organization * Demonstrates advanced computer skills Think Aksarben Omaha NE
