The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values. Supports the operations of all RWE power generation assets in the Americas to assure we minimize downtime which is crucial to our ability to maintain control of our turbines at all times.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain the lifecycle of systems, patching, compliance and capacity planning in the Production IT environment.

  • Installs, monitors and manages Windows, Virtualized (VMWare), or Unix/Linux server infrastructure.

  • Lead internal project initiatives and work closely with Project Managers to understand deliverables and meet delivery deadlines.

  • Performs installations, patches, upgrades, capacity planning and performance tuning, through approved change management mechanisms.

  • Manages incident tickets to resolution, within SLA and to approved documented standards.

  • Investigate root cause of system failures and propose corrective actions to prevent future occurrence.

  • Work within a global team reporting into a regional lead and work closely with other technical teams supporting the Windows server fleet.

  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.

  • Travel to sites to perform upgrades and necessary maintenance when needed

  • Perform help desk tasks in creation, maintenance and completion.

  • Create, change, and delete user accounts per request

  • Participate in the design, execution and risk mitigation regarding vulnerability assessments, and security/regulatory audits.

  • Participate in the creation of enterprise security documentation (policies, programs, standards, baselines, guidelines, procedures and metric/key performance reporting).

  • Perform the deployment, integration and configuration of security solutions and of enhancements to existing information/operational technology in accordance with standard best practice procedures and enterprise security policy.

  • Assist subject matter experts on compliance standards and application of associated requirements

  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.

  • Monthly Security Event monitoring of configurations

  • Respond to Tier 2/3 problems / incident support requests

  • Ensures all corporate processes are adhered to ensuring changes to the Enterprise Service infrastructure are fully documented following the best practice principles of ITIL.

You will be able to successfully conduct hands-on responsibilities dedicated to advising the organization on best practices for utilizing NetSuite.</p><p>What You'll Do</p><ul><li><p>Manage daily support and maintenance tasks of NetSuite</p></li><li><p>Manage all support requests and users' administrative needs</p></li><li><p>Design and maintain fields, views, reports, dashboards, workflows and other NetSuite objects and functions as needed</p></li><li><p>Design and manage data integration between NetSuite and other integrated applications, and external applications such as HR Bamboo, Visma Salary, Salesforce, Ironclad and Precursive</p></li><li><p>Identify opportunities for application optimization, integration, redesign, and development</p></li><li><p>Maintain security, including sharing rules and security levels with the security team</p></li><li><p>Provide internal, ongoing system/technical support to users, including training and maintaining proper system access for all roles</p></li><li><p>Maintain system documentation and NetSuite policies and procedures</p></li><li><p>Manage ongoing NetSuite customization and integration projects</p></li><li><p>Make recommendations to management &amp; internal business users regarding implementation as appropriate</p></li><li><p>Support broader initiatives to utilize system automation and integrations with other systems as necessary to scale the business</p></li><li><p>Manage system enhancement projects, including new functionality rollouts and modifications of existing functionalities as needed</p></li><li><p>Understand the business requirements of clients and industry-specific needs with seasoned business acumen</p></li><li><p>Serve as a business technology resource for the Finance team.</p></li><li><p>Participate in business process mapping and requirements sessions with Finance to determine NetSuite system requirements</p></li><li><p>Understand and demonstrate safe work practices at all times to ensure a safe work environment</p></li><li><p>Comply with all company policies and procedures</p></li><li><p>Support the finance team on ad hoc tasks.</p></li></ul><p>Who You Are</p><ul><li><p>In order to succeed in this role, we believe the ideal candidate will possess several years of Netsuite experience and be able to recognize pain points while translating them into a Netsuite-based solution.
