System Administrator

The Systems Administrator is responsible for the health of the RT Moore technology systems. We are looking for someone who is passionate about proactively improving systems and enjoys solving tough problems. The systems administrator must have a breadth of technology understanding.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Administer Windows servers, business applications, network devices, security tools, and cloud resources

• Monitor and respond to issues with technology systems

• Report on system status; suggest and implement new projects and improvements

• Work with level 1 and 2 support to solve complex problems

• Document standard operating procedures

• Maintain and promote a security-first posture for all services delivered

• Analyze technology systems and ensure alignment with industry best practices

• Understand business process and ensure systems are adapted to meet the needs of the business

• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure service levels are maintained for business-critical systems and applications

• Automate time consuming manual processes

• Serve as vendor contact

• Review and update the disaster recovery plan

• Execute disaster recovery tests

• Execute incident response tests

• Ensure technology architecture, backups, and processes meet business defined RPO and RTO

• Serve as escalation and overflow for level 1 support to ensure tickets are responded to in timely and accurate manner

• Review ticket trends to identify areas of system improvement

• Active involvement in developing and establishing annualized IT budget

• Manage projects and operational expenses to budget ensuring no unplanned overages

QUALIFICATIONS

• Clear, effective communications skills - both written and verbal

• Expert at problem solving

• Comfortable with prioritizing workload

• Mastery of Windows operating system, networking, and security best practices

• Experienced with public cloud infrastructure (preferably Azure)

• Experienced with PowerShell and other scripting languages

• Experienced with implementing and managing VOIP phone systems

• Familiar with Microsoft SQL Server

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years experience

SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday

LOCATION: On-site

SALARY: $70,000-$85,000
