Our client, a Los Angeles based entertainment company has immediate need for a System Administrator to join the team on an ongoing project basis. The System Administrator is responsible for providing technical support to end-users and client. This position requires an in-depth knowledge and hands on experience of Microsoft Windows 7/Windows 10, and general understanding of Windows 2008/2012 server, Exchange 2010/2013/2016, SharePoint 2010/2013/2016, and various Microsoft Server products as well as understanding of network technologies and associated components including routers, switches, and storage devices. Problem solving skills are needed to assess technical issues and determine an effective course of action for resolution. All System Administrator must prepare reports and keep a complete record of problem discovery, troubleshooting, and results obtained on all assigned support issues.
Maintains and supports the integrity of the operating system environment and various computer systems.
Administers servers, laptop and desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, software deployment, security updates and patches.
Maintains network facilities in individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers.
Ensures network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical standards.
Manages completion of tasks for assigned projects.
Designs and deploys IT equipment that supports company operations such as AV equipment, reservation systems, computer hardware, and system software.
Maintains network servers such as file servers, and VPN gateways.
Evaluates and modifies system's performance. Makes recommendations for future upgrades.
Maintains network and system security. Monitors networks to ensure security.
Manages access and compliance of software tools
Schedules, tests, installs, and upgrades IT system software platforms.
Configures software and resolves technical problems.
Troubleshoots problems reported by users and analyze and isolate issues.
Performs systems maintenance tasks, such as system back-up, recovery and file maintenance.
Provides on-call coverage for system outages.
Increases job knowledge through continuing education and detail oriented development opportunities.
Works as a supportive and engaged member of the IT Operations team.
Provide support to end users on a variety of hardware and software issues.
Identify, research, and resolve technical problems.
Support and resolve Printer issues
Knowledge of VMware ESXi
Maintain Firewall (sonicWall) and web-filter configuration and setup.
Configuration and administration of Windows Active Directory
Terminal Services / RDP
Maintain Exchange server configuration, operation and setup
Monitor and perform tasks related to the security cameras and DVR
Respond to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support.
Document, track and monitor the problem to ensure a timely resolution
Perform software and hardware installations
Provide user training as required
Performs daily, weekly and monthly backups, know all backup procedures and restore.
Monitor and update antivirus
Maintain Servers-update and keep a log of errors.
Maintain a log of all support contracts and expiration dates.
Maintain smart phone server operations and setup.
