The Systems Administrator position is responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, installing, and supporting a company's and clients computer systems. Designs and installs Servers, Workstations, LANs, WANs, Internet and intranet systems, and network segments.

Essential Functions Include:

  • Administer servers, desktop computers, phones, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches.

  • Monitor and maintain users over the network.

  • Managing server space, access rights, login availability and other security settings. This may mean monitoring users' Internet usage.

  • Monitor workstation in an office, other type of buildings and remote locations to ensure they are in working condition.

  • Fix most hardware or software problems quickly and efficiently including keeping a handy cache of spare hardware and software and backing up data regularly.

  • Guarantee the data of a network by backing up any and all important data regularly, usually daily or weekly. Must be able to restore from these backups.

  • Participate in extended disaster recovery plan.

Qualified candidates must have:

  • B.S./B.A. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology.

  • 3 to 7 years of experience in system administration.

  • Windows Server Admin/Install.

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA).

  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).

  • Microsoft SQL, Exchange, SharePoint and Dynamics CRM.

  • Administration of Cloud Services.

  • Must be a critical thinker with the ability to solve problems.

  • System administrator must know which updates are needed and which may cause problems.

  • Strong customer service skills.

  • Onsite customer service experience.

  • Good time management skills.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Valid driver's license required.

Position provides supervision of the medical records management process which includes training and supervising of the process used by the CPS staff and providing back up for fiscal management of travel, and searches (as required). Duties and Responsibilities 1. Administrative Support and Medical Records: Maintain client & office records in accordance to legal standards & confidentiality Serve as an electronic health record system administrator in conjunction with the Coordinator of Clinical Services. Train new employees on appropriate methods of scheduling, confidentiality, gathering data and managing various office calendars. Make meeting arrangements including location, refreshments, equipment needs, sending invitations, prepare handouts, take meeting notes, etc. Serve as liaison between Director and faculty, students, and other MSU employees and primary support for the Director, Coordinator of Clinical Services and Outreach Coordinator. Provide back up to the Administrative Associate IV in preparation and submission of a wide variety of forms and documents 2. Fiscal Management: Collect, code and route invoices and purchasing card receipts in coordination with the Agency Manager. Research, gather, and compile information to analyze and produce reports or documents such as travel projections. May approve spending requests by checking for compliance with budget, monitoring expenses and projecting expenditures. Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills Progressively responsible administrative work experience with an emphasis on customer service in a main office setting or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. Demonstrated excellent customer service skills for a diverse group of customers, i.e. internal and external customers, students, etc. Demonstrated competence organizing and prioritizing multiple work assignments, meeting deadlines, and exercising adaptability to changing priorities while maintaining a positive, effective, and professional attitude. Demonstrated experience designing, writing, editing and formatting professional documents such as reports, business correspondence, spreadsheets, and brochures. Demonstrated experience using advanced word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation, electronic calendar and e-mail software. Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills Knowledge and understanding of State and University business, personnel, and payroll procedures. Knowledge and skill in system administration of electronic health record software.
