Scope/Daily Job Responsibilities/Position

Overview:
Responsible for completing assigned projects including meeting project deadlines and providing documented procedures.
Perform end user training when needed on specific application in testing lab environment.
Develop and maintain documentation and procedures in creating application objects.
Monitors and responds to remedy request via Remedy Helpdesk Management system.
Associates designated application objects to user(s) for installation via SCCM 2007/2012.
Assist in defining the technical requirements, evaluating vendor solutions for application creation and deployment.
Experience identifying and patching vulnerability weaknesses using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
Knowledge of common Network Operating Systems, Desktop Operating Systems, and Email Server Systems, Microsoft Windows Systems, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server.
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7, Sever 2008/2012 operating systems.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office product capability and troubleshooting

Job Responsibilities:
The System Administrator (SA), using the requirements identified for a given project, shall perform the integration & where applicable, distribution tasks, for the assigned project.
The SA is responsible for performing analysis, design, application testing, documentation and testing for projects that may range from the simple to complex in nature.
Provides technical support and troubleshoot problems on local area networks (LAN) and data networks using Microsoft operating systems.
Ability perform some programming and may be responsible for script writing (JavaScript and/or Powershell).
Test, document, and implement new products in compliance with security policies. Work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communications.
Experience troubleshooting Windows OS errors.
Minimum

Required Skills:
4+ years of experience Windows 7 & 10 troubleshooting
Desired/Preferred

Skills:
SCCM 2007/2012, Active Directory
Degree & Years of Experience:
BS and 4+ years or equivalent (6-8 years experience)
Any additional info regarding work environment:
Ability to work within core hours of 6:30am to 6:30pm.

(Riverside), recognized internationally for providing innovative engineering, science, and information technology solutions to Federal and state agencies, private companies and international organizations, has an opportunity for a Ground System Engineer working on-site at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Satellite Operations Facility (NOSF) in Suitland, MD. </p> <p><strong>Background</strong></p> <p>The NOAA Systems Engineering and Technical Services (SETS) program provides enterprise systems engineering support to the NOAA satellite ground systems and collected data. NOAA operates geostationary satellites, low elliptical and high elliptical satellites. NOAA shares data with many countries.</p><p><strong>Position</strong></p><p>This positions will support the establishment of a geostationary satellite over the Indian Ocean. The selected candidate will provide expertise in ground station engineering to support full lifecycle system engineering activities.
