Job Summary
A detail-oriented, analytical troubleshooter with 3-5 years of Systems Administrator professional experience in similar positions within a Microsoft on-premises and cloud architecture. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for PCI's Infrastructure & Network needs as well as being responsible for implementing and managing all Infrastructure and Security services within our onsite NOC. As a member in our Infrastructure and Security teams you will build, and maintain critical solutions and technologies through implementation, and launch, working closely with peers in Software Engineering, Security, Compliance, Service Desk, and key business leaders across the Organization.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Deploying, maintaining, monitoring, and supporting Nutanix AHV & VMware virtualization platforms in a highly secure, Nutanix, Cisco, Fortinet, environment
Troubleshooting & resolving complex technical issues.
Participates in cross-functional projects, planning and architecture discussions and decisions.
Documentation of policies, processes, procedures, and all key Infrastructure
Respond to automated notifications of problem events and resolution of those issues.
Lifecycle management and capacity planning for virtualization platforms
Managing and configuring servers, firewalls, networks
Maintaining, and testing a Disaster Recovery (DR) Infrastructure
Security, monitor and mitigate the latest threats and discuss the organization's security posture in detail with customers, partners, and relevant third parties.
Participates in and supports PCI's yearly Security Audits and Certification process working hand in hand with the Security Team as the hands-on expert and security project resource.
Keep current on new technologies and training.
Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation.
Requirements
1-2 years of Desktop Support
3-5 years Systems Support
1-2 years Virtualization (prefer Nutanix or VMware)
M365/O365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Core Architecture, Operating Systems, plus a special focus on Microsoft Security across the board
Proficiency in Active Directory, DNS, AZURE AD
Operating System: Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022
Must be a customer service oriented highly productive individual who can work alone and in group settings with internal customers, business managers, consultants, and other IT staff.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, oral, and written communication skills
Ability to work under pressure, reprioritize, and adjust to rapid changes in direction and deadlines while balancing multiple high priority projects with minimal supervision.
Excellent organizational, team, project management skills
Preferred
Experience administrating servers, firewalls, networks, security software, etc.
Top-level understanding of network segmentation - VLAN, user isolation, DMZ, RBAC, etc.
Database and VM High Availability: SQL Always-On DB cluster, load balancers - maintenance
Administer Disaster Recovery System: Veeam, Microsoft Recovery Services, SQL backup/restore, RTO, RPO, Veeam, Object First, or other similar services.
Understanding of the NIST Framework in a working environment
Experience with other security technologies, such as IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint security.
Nutanix AHV administration/engineering experience in an enterprise environment
Data Encryption at rest and in motion
MDM (Mobile Device Manager) or MAM (Mobile Application Manager)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology or business information systems
