ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible to ensure proper analysis and implementation of systems and user requirements, procedures to automate processing and/or improving existing computer and office system equipment. Provides leadership and technical direction to accomplish daily tasks and strategic objectives.

  • Manage computer imaging, deployments, and procurement of hardware including virtual and physical environments.

  • Provide functional support and troubleshoot all aspects of the infrastructure environment including network components, computer hardware, servers, and peripherals.

  • Serve as a technical resource in establishing, maintaining, supporting, and upgrading associated architecture and environment

  • Provide functional support and troubleshoot for all desktop software including Windows operating systems, MS Office suite, endpoint protection

  • Maintains knowledge of environments that run business-wide applications and are accessed by multiple departments and users

  • Provide resources and drive projects and timelines towards on-time completion

  • Work with software and hardware vendors along with in-house users to deliver a stable infrastructure from purchasing to environment configuration, installation, and support

  • Administrative tasks supporting hardware inventory, ticket tracking, hardware and software documentation, supply and hardware ordering, support of data retention policies.

  • Proficient understanding of computer hardware and software, networking, and system relationship between business and shop floor operations

  • Ability to interface with end-users and troubleshoot problems.

  • Ability to direct and lead direct reports

  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with employees and management.


  • Bachelors degree in information systems or a computer science field or equivalent experience.

  • Has 3-5 years experience in coordinating systems administration

  • Demonstrated project management skills and knowledge of finances

  • Experience with large enterprise systems and databases environments

  • Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Visio)

  • Configuration of PC workstations and printers in a networked Microsoft environment

  • Microsoft Active Directory maintenance and administration, including user, adds, deletes, security, group assignments, policies, and scripting, etc

  • Working knowledge of basic network protocols (IPX, NetBEUI, TCPIP)

  • Strong knowledge in assigned systems and software

  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Application development in Excel, Access, SQL, and HTML.

  • A+ or Net+ Certification

Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a Systems Administrator with experience designing and implementing Windows Server Operating Systems on a long-term contract basis. Role Summary: The Systems Administrator role is responsible for managing the continuous operations of all company-wide business information systems related to midrange and server infrastructures. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include: * Systems Implementation. Implementing enterprise architecture and high availability server-based solutions, i.e. blade server, clustering, replication. * Installation and Support. Providing system installation, maintenance and support for all server based systems and services. * Cloud Services Implementation and management of cloud services such as Office 365, mail filters and archive. * Tuning, Installs, Upgrades and Enhancements. Performance tuning, installing fixes, upgrades & enhancements. Implementing and maintain security standards using certificates, GPO, SSO services and MFA. * Shared Infrastructure Managing the support of shared desktop environments such as Citrix, and MS Remote desktop services. * Assessing System Performance. Maintaining system availability, preparing metrics to evaluate systems performance, and working with IT groups and users to ensure that service objectives are met. * Networking Technologies Manage application load balancing, UCS and HPE blade technology and replication. * Disaster Recovery Plan. Implementing and maintaining a backup/recovery/disaster plan that provides the maximum coverage for systems software, applications and user network data. * Server Administration. Install and manage windows server, active directory, group policy, DFS, and directory integration. * Provide support for all office and field locations relating to the datacenter and server platforms. * Systems Integration. Providing design and integration support of existing and new systems. * And other duties as assigned. Position Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience required. * At least 5+ years of related experience required * Significant experience implementing Windows Server Operating Systems, Virtualization technology and SAN storage Technologies. * Experience implementing Windows Server Operating Systems and related components including: Active Directory, GPO, DFS, NTFS Setup and Security, TCP/IP with DHCP, WINS and DNS required. * Experience with Microsoft Active Directory configuration, setup and maintenance required. * Sarbanes Oxley audit evidence Collection and Audit management. * Experience with VMware, Citrix, Cisco UCS and HPE Synergy server hardware, Microsoft Exchange * Disaster Recovery activation & maintenance, Zerto replication, backup technologies * Experience preferred with. * Experience preferred but not required in Microsoft SQL server, AS/400 and Linux, SCADA and Process control environments and security * Experience using operations metrics and trend analysis. * And other duties as assigned.
