NextGen Federal Systems, LLC (NextGen) is seeking a System Administrator to support a test lab environment for a federal customer. NextGen serves as the Prime contractor on a 5+ year engagement supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).

Location: Fort Meade, MD - this is an onsite position

Responsibilities

  • Support a virtual test lab environment that includes software implementations used for system IV &V

  • Trouble-shoot, monitor, and resolve system issues as required to maintain operations

  • Work with an Information Assurance team to ensure compliance with system security patching requirements

  • Support automated system lock down scripts

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Information Technology and 2+years performing system administration for Windows and Linux environments

  • Windows and Unix System administration, configuration, and patching experience

  • Scripting experience (Bash or PowerShell)

  • Experience with STIG compliance remediation and ongoing system scanning and monitoring

  • Security+ Certification

  • Active Secret level security clearance
