The Leidos DES (Defense Enclave Services) team is supporting an extensive digital modernization program critical to DISA and Fourth Estate Agencies and is currently seeking a Tier 3 System Administrator located at Ft. Meade, MD.

PROGRAM SUMMARY:

The Defense Enclave Services contract will unify the DOD Fourth Estate Defense Agencies and Field Activities' common use information technology systems, personnel, functions and program elements under the direction of DISA's Fourth Estate Network Optimization program office. Your role is critical to the overall operational and end User Experience (UX) as automation capabilities impacts each user across the global enterprise.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

  • Must hold an active Top Secret clearance prior to start. (US Citizenship required)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, configure, and administer Active Directory domains and forests, as well as adding new users to existing domains or forests.

  • Implement and troubleshoot Certificate Authorities, DNS, DHCP, ADFS and other core Windows components.

  • Group Policy administration, troubleshooting, documenting and implementing.

  • Provide technical assistance pertaining to Active Directory & SSO in planning and development of new projects.

  • Recommend and implement improvements to the Active Directory environment.

  • Support and maintain user account information including rights, security, and system groups.

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of Active Directory upgrades and new releases.

  • Managing security across the network by deploying new security patches and policies and monitoring activity for signs of intrusion or compromise.

  • Resolve a wide range of system issues, troubleshooting software and hardware, diagnosis of network issues, and addressing trouble tickets and service tasks across all tiered levels.

  • Assist with achieving optimum performance and availability standards through implementing appropriate technical solutions.

  • Responsible for completed the day-to-day tasks associated with system administration in the DES Compute Environment.

  • Provide on call 24/7 support to the current operations team when troubleshooting/resolving incidents with enterprise systems.

  • Provide escalation support to the NOC/monitoring team when troubleshooting issues with enterprise systems.

  • Work within the DevSecOps methodology to plan and support implementation of new technologies

  • Work with other service teams to resolve enterprise incidents as part of the DES Operations Problem Solving Team.

  • Work with the monitoring team to address issue that will impact system availability.

  • Attend meetings weekly and provide weekly status reports.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

  • Must have a DoD IAT Level II certification (Sec+), or higher, prior to start.

  • Advanced administration experience with all Active Directory Domain Services.

  • UNIX and Windows administration experience.

  • Trouble reporting and tracking systems such as REMEDY experience.

  • Must be able to lift/move/carry equipment when necessary (max 40 pounds)

Pay Range:

Pay Range $81,900.00 - $126,000.00 - $170,100.00

The focus will be to develop, maintain, and support operations and maintenance (O&amp;M) activities of an enclave comprised of various hardware and software components to include virtual machines. This effort will include maintaining and evolving a modern DevOps architecture to support software developers, phased system upgrades, compliance, and improvements aimed to ensure continued execution of the IDO mission. This will include improving availability and reliability, reducing latency and optimizing performance, and maintaining the OPSEC and security posture. Ability to lead and task other infrastructure support staff to maintain the focus on O&amp;M priorities while addressing system-level issues that arise and track items to completion. Design future infrastructure proactively to meet strategic initiatives and contribute to the plan for resourcing the efforts.</p><p>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION</p><ul><li><p>At least 18 years of general experience as a systems analyst, including five years of experience in systems analysis, engineering design, and communications applications on complex information systems, database management, the use of programming languages that support the systems, and knowledge of storage and retrieval methods.</p></li><li><p>Five (5) years of experience in systems analysis, engineering design, and communications applications on complex information systems, database management, the use of programming languages that support Sun Solaris, HP UNIX, Windows NT, Pascal or Delphi, Linux - Redhat, Windows XP, Databases, Sybase RDBMS, Oracle RDBMS, MS Access, Oracle Context, Oracle Forms, Powerbuilder, MS SQL Server, Indexed Sequential Access Method (ISAM), and knowledge of storage and retrieval methods.</p></li><li><p>A bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science may be substituted for 4 years of general experience as a systems analyst.
