Job Description- Solerity is seeking a cleared Systems Administrator III to join the team in Annapolis Junction, MD. The System Administrator will play a critical role in our mission to deliver innovative solutions, capabilities, and resources on behalf of a Government customer. The System Administrator will work with a focused and high performing team to engineer, build, deploy, and maintain multiple environments for the purpose of development, testing, and production hosting of custom enterprise business applications.
You will leverage your communication and engagement skills to collaborate with your teammates, who are also highly skilled Administrators, as well as partners and teammates ranging from Engineers, Support Analysts, Security Assessors, and Program Management stakeholders to ensure availability, performance, and quality of the systems/services you maintain.
YOU BRING - Mandatory Requirements
Active TS/SCI with Poly
Must have current IAT Level II certification or higher
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, and have eight (8) years of demonstrable experience in system administration and support of a large client-server based IT enterprise.
Experience including installation, configuration, and networking of Linux and/or Windows based platforms.
Familiarity with servers running Red Hat, CentOS, SolarisX64, SuSe, with direct attached and FC SAN storage
Knowledge of Server and Blade systems and associated interconnects (SAD, FC, TCP/IP, etc.), firmware management, configuration management and advance hardware troubleshooting
Fundamental understanding of operating systems and be familiar with both Linux and Windows advanced commands and utilities at the enterprise server level.
Experience including the installation and configuration of hardware, operating systems, and commercial software packages.
Ability to develop and implement enterprise backup/recovery strategies, server configuration and consolidation, and verification of the health and status of the entire IT infrastructure.
Ability to provide tier 2/3 enterprise-level support for services such as DNS, NFS,E-mail services (Microsoft Exchange, Sendmail), security protection mechanisms (ACLs, Security-Enhanced Linux (SELinux), and the interoperability of Linux and Windows based systems.
Proficiency developing and implementing enterprise patch management strategies (ePO,WSUS, YUM Repositories)
Manage and troubleshoot scripts, Kickstart servers and configuration files

In addition to the above qualifications, SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR III FOR SERVERS must have the following qualifications required by the relevant TTO: Installation, configuration, tuning, and support of:
Servers running Sparc Solaris, SolarisX64, red Hat, and SuSe, with direct attached and FC SAN storage
Client server technology utilizing NFS and CIFS
Large memory SMP systems with many cores
Enterprise client server configurations
Multi-vendor filesystems such as XFS, GPFS, and CXFS
Blade systems and associated interconnects (SAD, FC, TCP/IP, etc.)
Red Hat and Microsoft Windows Operating System
Infrastructure support services such as DNS, NIS, Active Directory, Centrify, Zenoss, SiteScope, HPOpenview, HPSA, HPSE, Splunk, Sendmail, Exchange, NetQoS, Infoblox
Thin client solutions based on Virtual bridges and Centrix
Virtualizing products; VMWare and Solaris containers
Accepted professional certifications include:
Possess a valid RHCSA or higher Red Hat certification
Valid VMWare certification
System Administrator III for STORAGE
In addition to the above qualifications, SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR III FOR STORAGE must have the following qualifications required by the relevant TTO: Installation, configuration, tuning, troubleshooting, and administration of:
SGI IRIX based Operating System
SGI systems with direct attached and FC SAN attached storage
Network Appliance clustered servers with direct attached and FC SAN storage
Network Appliance and SGI IRIX supported applications
Multivendor clustered filesystems such as GPFS, Lustre
Brocade FC switch network
Enterprise class arrays
Solid State Disk (SSD)
NFS/CIFS based server/storage appliance
Data Domain and similar deduplication products
Cloud based storage solutions such as HADOOP, and IBM BigInsights
Trouble ticket management utilizing Remedy
System Administrator III for HPC
In addition to the above qualifications, SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR III FOR HPC must have the following qualifications required by the relevant TTO: Installation, configuration, tuning, and support of:
Multi-vendor servers running a plethora of COTS, opensource, and in-house applications to accommodate HPC Division IT support requirements
Multi-vendor servers running Red Hat of SuSe with direct attached, FC SAN storage orSSDs
Distributing computing tools such as ReS, LSF, and SLURM
HPC farm systems, HPC MPP clustered systems, Front End servers of Special Purpose devices(SPDs)
IBM of HP Blade servers with FC/SAS/Network back end
Multi-vendor filesystems such as XFS, GPFS and Lustre
Pre-Factory testing, Factory testing, System integration and Acceptance testing during the purchase process of the HPS systems
As a Systems Administrator, you will:
Engineer, build, deploy, and maintain multiple environments for the purpose of development, testing, and production hosting of custom enterprise business applications
Install, configure, and network of UNIX and/or NT based platforms.
Create, modify and delete user accounts, perform system back-ups, and maintain system configuration files.
Install and configure hardware, operating systems, and commercial software packages.
Develop and implement enterprise backup/recovery strategies, server configuration and consolidation, and verification of the health and status of the entire IT infrastructure.
Provide support for enterprise services such as DNS, NFS, email services, security protection mechanisms, and the interoperability of UNIX and NT based systems.
Create and maintain standard operating procedures and operational reporting protocol for the purpose of communicating system and network health with upper management, government customers, mission partners, and agency executives
Maintain extremely accurate, high level reporting of all issues and current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
