JOB SUMMARY:

The Systems Administrator II will integrate with our overall Engineering team and be deployed to customer locations working on specific strategic engagements. Responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems; especially multi-user computers, such as servers.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install Linux and Windows servers in a virtualized environment, troubleshoot hardware/software installation and basic networking issues

• Experience with VMware and the ability to analyze and optimize

• HPE experience with the ability to analyze and work with the team to optimize

• Setting up and managing Linux and Windows systems, applications and environments and ensuring those systems comply with government security standards

• Troubleshooting network hardware and software applications, OS upgrades, and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.

• Analyzes and identifies all or part of a company's existing or new computer (and/or server), peripheral, network, and telecommunications systems requirements.

• Establishes functional and technical specifications, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem.

• Solve hardware and software issue.

• Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.

• Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.

• Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).

• Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 03 - 35+ years' experience as a system administrator

• Active Secret Clearance desired, but not required

EDUCATION:

• Preferred Associate degree in relevant field

U.S. Citizenship is required for most positions at Zivaro due to security clearance requirements and government/federal contracts held by Zivaro.
