THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ACTIVE SECRET or TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE

Aquila is seeking a Systems Administrator possessing an active Secret or Top-Secret Security

Clearance to contribute to one of this country's premier defense research organizations. The

position will play an integral role in the development of advanced technologies for airborne

radar applications. IT infrastructure is a key component within the mission area of intelligence,

surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), where heavy use of an airborne radar testbed and

processing infrastructure are used at various classification levels. The right candidate will be

part of a team responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

This role is ideal for a mid-level generalist, System Administrator. Job functions include day-to-

day desktop and server support of multiple environments, along with operating systems builds, hardening, and automation. The position will also participate in security implementations based on RMF and JSIG requirements, remediation of security findings, patching of operating systems and third party products, updating firmware and BIOS on a multitude of hardware, upgrading operating systems and third party products, automation of multiple environments at all levels and configuration and monitoring of backups.

Required Skills:

Minimum of 5 years hands-on day-to-day system admin experience is required.

Active DoD SECRET or DoD TOP SECRET clearance

Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems

Security hardening along with RMF and JSIG

Security + certification or higher is a plus

Day-to-day experience with active directory and GPOs

Powershell scripting; bash or perl shell scripting is a plus

Working knowledge of enterprise backups and storage

Familiarity with SCAP, Nessus, McAfee virus scan and EPO, DLP solutions

Familiarity with WMWare/ESXi

Familiarity with networking terms, switches, routers

Must be able to work independently or within a group

Preferred Skills:

Solid working day-to-day knowledge of Linux and Windows

Security knowledge with RMF and JSIG

Operating system builds conforming to security requirements

Active directory

High end documentation sills

Qualifications and Background:

BS OR Associates degree and at least 1 Certification

Security + Certification

At least 5 years of applicable experience.

In this role the right candidate will contribute to one of this country's premier defense research organizations by supporting Enterprise Collaboration & Web Services (ECWS) that enable enterprise wide collaboration through web services, content management applications and websites. This new position is a permanent position with full benefits and has been added to address IT capacity issues. The position will be responsible for domains, supporting IT Infrastructure, system architecture design, system configuration management, system troubleshooting and database management. The role is also responsible for the remediation of security vulnerabilities on Windows and Linux servers and will provide support, demonstrations and proof of concepts to the end user community for SharePoint. The role will also be responsible for integrating existing ECWS applications into Office365/SharePoint and developing solutions in Power Automate to enable web collaboration.
