POSITION SUMMARY / BASIC FUNCTIONS: The System Administrators primary function is the support and maintenance of the Servers, Network, and Application environment. This position requires the System Administrator to be proficient in all aspects of computers and related equipment. The Systems Administrator must be able to communicate effectively with users and management, organize and prioritize assigned tasks, and perform all duties assigned by management POSITION QUALIFICATIONS FORMAL EDUCATION, MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE:
College Degree, Certifications, or equivalent experience / training.
Computer literate; high level of mechanical and technical aptitude.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to lift, handle and/or move up to 40 pounds 25% of the time.
Become thoroughly familiar with the property's computer system, network system, and cable infrastructure.
Possess a working knowledge of all software applications used throughout the property in order to both troubleshoot effectively and assist with developing training materials.
Maintain an accurate inventory of all computers and peripheral equipment.
Facilitate all moves, adds, changes of users and departments.
Manage the implementation of new software, hardware upgrades, and support of the network including file servers, print servers, hubs, routers, and network cabling.
Management and support of various systems located throughout the property, including the property management system and point of sale systems.
Management and support of the property's telecommunications system.
Provide assistance to other departments with equipment and systems including house-sound, CATV, and security systems.
Provide assistance and technical support for members and guests. This includes the setting up of computer equipment, installation of networks and special telecommunications circuits.
Adhere to the policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook and report any observed violations to Human Resources.
Maintain a good working relationship with all Departments.
Maintain the highest level of member-guest relations.
Adhere to the policies and procedures as set forth for the handling of sensitive data.
Available to work various hours and shifts dictated by needs of the operation.
Practice safety standards and report any unsafe conditions to the Information Technology (IT) Manager.
Remain alert, courteous and helpful to members and guests at all times.
Act as primary liaison for all end user requests, Including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of user equipment.
Perform other related duties as requested by the department.
Interface positively with other departments, offering assistance when needed.
Ability to work any assigned shift / work schedule.
Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by the Director of Finance, the CEO or the Resort Manager.
