Job Overview:Utilizes necessary applications to ensure server health. Responsible for tracking and communicating any outages, latencies, scheduled updates, etc.
Responsibilities and Duties: Under minimal direction, provides specialized expertise within multiple systems, software disciplines, as well as general knowledge of related disciplines, applications implications, and customer areas. Responsible for performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support. Assists in the planning and conversion for new hardware/software products. Maintains currency, debugs and configures related software products. Provides operating systems planning and evaluation for performance analysis, capacity planning and hardware upgrades. Works from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications. Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs. Interfaces with other system support groups to resolve problems, setting standards and improving overall efficiency of the operating system. Designs, codes, tests and implements tools for operations automation. Works on most phases of software systems programming applications, and may require instruction and guidance in other phases.
Education/Training

Requirements:

BA/BS in a technical discipline with at least 5 years of experience.
Required Skills:
1. PowerShell
2. Excellent written and communication skills

The System Administrator will apply advanced skills in troubleshooting and maintenance of SCIF, workstations, laptops, servers and other peripheral devices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position) * Ensure that IT system operations and integrity are available during core business hours and after hour support as required by Leadership * Provide support to end users for all issues and track them in the ticketing system. * Oversee Installation/Maintenance of all hardware for end users to include: o Desktops o Laptops o Peripheral devices (Monitors, Keyboards, Mice, Speakers, etc.) o Printers * Oversee Installation/Maintenance of all end user software including: o MS Office products o Adobe products o Software tools in support of software development projects o Any additional software as needed/approved by the IT department * Oversee Educating End Users with updated information regarding: o New versions of software/hardware o End user responsibilities for all IT related equipment o Security compliance & IT policies * Oversee maintenance of End user accounts o Creation, Deletion, & Modification of end user accounts o Password resets o Security Groups – add/remove/modify * Oversee Telephony Support o Voicemail set up o Installation/maintenance of phones for end-users * Perform daily monitoring of IT system resources * Perform routine backups of all key IT systems as needed * Oversee regular inventory of all IT related equipment and submit the appropriate documentation * Participate in the IT architecture planning and engineering to provide continuous improvement to the system * Set-up & configure network devices to optimize IT system performance * Provide guidance to Associate IT staff * Automate processes with scripting to optimize system performance * Contribute to, help set, and maintain systems standards * Coordinate purchasing requests * Maintain detailed work log of daily activities and tasking via DELTEK * Maintain up to date records of all IT equipment with detailed information related to any changes in the configuration or set-up * Report any security violations as required * Oversee detailed inventory list of all IT equipment * Report any concerns or requirements to Leadership Non-Essential Duties: Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: NONE Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or 5 years of Systems Administration experience may be used in lieu of degree * Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph clearance Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Ability to obtain A , Network , or Security certifications/training * Ability to obtain MCSA, MCSE, RHCSA, RHCE certifications/training * Skilled at working with ticketing systems to track work (ex. JIRA, SYSAID, Spiceworks) * Skilled at writing SOPs and end-user documentation (ex.
