System Administrator

Key Role:

Organize and direct the configuration and operation of information management systems. Provide day-to-day system administration, including system and resource optimization, and user assistance.

Conduct capacity and performance analysis and provide system configuration change and upgrade recommendations. Increase system administrator efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts, develop system administrator procedures, and conduct system administrator training and skills assessment. Determine computer user needs. Analyze system capabilities and programming techniques and controls.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience using Linux

• Experience managing daily activities of configuration and operation of systems, and performing system capacity analysis and planning

• Experience maintaining servers, creating monitoring reports and logs, and ensuring functionality of system links

• Ability to monitor systems for acceptable performance and user accessibility, establish back-ups, and monitor systems security

• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam

• HS diploma or GED

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
