TNA is currently looking for a System Administrator/Help Desk Supervisor in our Information Technology Department. This position has responsibility for supporting a server infrastructure of varying systems used in the production process and supervising the resources to support the end-user equipment used by all plant personnel for the 24X7 operations of the plant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (include the following. Other duties may be assigned)
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all server and storage hardware and software as well as any related systems and key processes.
Review system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Ensure availability and performance of the hardware and OS supporting the infrastructure in a 24x7 environment.
Manage and monitor the VMWare server environment as well as the use of VDI.
Administer the Office365 environment including the add and termination of users, monitoring of threat/spam e-mail, and use of included tools such as Sharepoint and Teams.
Maintain Active Directory, Domain, DNS, and related technologies to support the secure and reliable access to the network and servers.
Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with the standards and project/operational requirements
Assist in the planning, design, documentation and implementation of various systems related to the current and future infrastructure.
Under the direction of the IT Infrastructure manager, supervise the helpdesk team in the support of end user equipment. Schedule and insure helpdesk coverage for all shifts.
Provide guidance and 2nd-level support to the team for critical components and complex issues.
Establish SLAs for the helpdesk team. Monitor and publish the KPIs included as SLAs.
Suggest training and skills needed to keep the helpdesk team members current and able to support the 24x7 staff.
Provide trend analyses for the service management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management.
Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
Maintain excellent communication with the IT Infrastructure Manager on all tasks and projects.
Perform on-site and remote technical support as needed.
Participate in on-call duties and willing to work on national holidays for maintenance and deployments.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a technical major such as computer science / engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
