System Administrator

Position Summary:

The System Administrators role is to manage and optimize computer software systems, storage systems, and computing environment to ensure high levels of availability and security of supported hospital applications. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading IT Systems to ensure optimal performance. The person will also identify and troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via e-mail) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required. This individual also participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance is consistent with hospital goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. The Server Administrators primary focus will be on servers, storage, and enterprise applications, but end user, phone, and network device support may be required. Work directly with Manager of Infrastructure.

Educational Requirements/ Qualifications:

Formal Education & Certification

• College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science or information systems or 5 years equivalent work experience.

• Microsoft Certifications (Preferred)
