Overview The Temporary/Seasonal SYEP Learning Instructor will be responsible for guiding 14 & 15-year-old Younger Youth Summer Participants through a virtual six-week service-learning process related to specific topics.

Reports To: Program Coordinator Hours: 35 Hours / Monday

    DeWitt Clinton High School Salary: $18 - $20/hr Major Duties: Manage a hybrid classroom experience with participants over a six-week summer period. Implement designated lesson plans and materials for career pathways and workforce readiness training sessions and present training programs clearly and concisely that is relatable to young adults.

    Must be creative and motivated to ensure all program goals are met along with good participant attendance. Support Education Coordinator in monitoring and recording participant attendance and progress. Meet weekly with the EC and program facilitators to provide program updates.

    Accompany participants on all off-site trips maintaining appropriate staff to student ratio. Complete tasks and assist with administrative duties. Qualifications: Associate degree in related field required, BA/BS preferred.

    Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Ability to build rapport with youth ages 14 & 15 years of age. Interested in working in a virtual culturally diverse setting.

    Comfortable working in a fast-paced on-line environment. Excellent communication and writing skills. Effective Conflict resolution skills Efficient in Microsoft Office and Google platform.
