POSITION:
Regular New York City License as a School Secretary
LOCATION:
New York Public School Foster Care Office
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a Regular New York City License as a School Secretary
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Applicants must be available for in person assignments
Satisfactory performance for the past two years
If worked previously as a teacher covered by Advance, no substantiated allegations of misconduct stemming from an OEO, OSI, or SCI investigation within the last 3 years (does not preclude school secretaries with less than three years of service).
Satisfactory record of attendance and punctuality
Demonstrated knowledge of payroll procedures
Demonstrated knowledge of The NYC Public Schools accounting systems and procedures
Demonstrated knowledge of the ATS system preferred, including access to student information and scanning procedures, i.e., test scores, biographical data, attendance and special reports
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work under the direct supervision of the Director of Clinical Support and Foster Care
Fulfill routine secretarial tasks, including updating student addresses, flagging student as a Foster Care student, adding the Foster Care agency to ATS PARU under Authorization Code #02 (reside with student) and Relationship Code #15.
Upon receiving a placement letter, use ATS Biographical Indicator Update (BINU) to update the FOSTER HOME. Use F4/Lookup for a list of valid values. Enter a "3" - Foster Care and press F2/Save
Flag order protection in ATS if needed
Entering Foster Student transportation Exception request
Adding agencies to NYSCA
Update the STRE screen for IEP students with curb to curb transportation
Other duties and responsibilities that the individual district may require in accordance with the UFT Collective Bargaining Agreement
May be required to work remotely, if necessary
WORK SCHEDULE:
Instructional Days: Monday
Hours: 8:00am
SALARY:
Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent upon funding availability and programmatic approval.
