POSITION:
TEACHER
RESTORATIVE JUSTICE - YOUTH PROGRAMS SUPERVISOR

LOCATION:
IN PERSON AT VARIOUS OSYD LOCATIONS
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Licensed and appointed NYCDOE TEACHERS
Successful completion of Restorative Practices Tier 1 Training
Actively working as a Restorative Practitioner in NYCDOE
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Demonstrated knowledge of pedagogical best practices in Restorative Practices.
Demonstrated prior training/professional development in social emotional learning and/or student leadership programming and/or equity and access work.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate and co-facilitate successful youth programming.
Demonstrated ability to successfully support authentic youth-adult partnership.
Demonstrated ability to manage students including supervision, budget, staffing and time sheets.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with CBO personnel.
Excellent communication skills.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work collaboratively with CBOs and vendors to plan and execute successful Restorative Justice OSYD youth programming.
Collaborate and partner with College Now Program at Queens College (CUNY).
Develop and provide guidance to Youth Partners in planning, facilitating and debriefing of Youth sessions.
Provide participants with guidance and feedback on their work and progress in these courses.
Manage all logistics, scheduling and organizational duties associated to the running of Restorative Justice OSYD youth programming.
WORK SCHEDULE:
SEPTEMBER 2024 - JUNE 2025
MONDAY - FRIDAY AND WEEKENDS IF NEEDED.
UP TO 300 HOURS.
WORK CANNOT START BEFORE THE APPLICATION DEADLINE. THE DEADLINE MUST BE A MINIMUM OF TWENTY (20) SCHOOL DAYS AFTER THE POST DATE.
Hours up to, but not limited to the approximate number of hours listed. Additional hours may be granted upon the approval of the hiring manager.
SALARY:
Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent upon funding availability and programmatic approval.
